After reading a few things after setz pointed it out in the last thread, I decided to try and draw real isometric art.

This is the result:

Comments? I am trying to improve, so any thoughts would be wonderful.

Hey, I can do Iso-houses too!

Huge image size images

</thread_hijack>

It looks nice small hacker, however, it looks like you used a program to tilt tiles to the correct angel, and added a texture.

However, in most drawn isometric art, it is different.

Lines in the x and y axes would not follow a neat pixel pattern if drawn in the required 30° to the horizontal. While modern computers can eliminate this problem using anti-aliasing, earlier computer graphics did not support enough colors or possess enough CPU power to accomplish this. So instead, a 2:1 pixel pattern ratio would be used to draw the x and y axes lines, resulting in these axes following a 26.565° (arctan 0.5) angle to the horizontal.

So, small update today folks.

Darkdata's been being a true role model on mapping lately and is being a real help, even if he messed up on an otherwise sweet waterfall. He did give me a little challenge though. Made a cave with a raised platform made out of the same tiles used in the border and maze walls, with two ladders to get on and off something that would otherwise be solid.

The problem is that the edge tile at the top of said walls and raised platform are directly adjacent to the regular cave floor -and- are supposed to be stood upon. In fact, the left staircase directly ends in such a tile!

My solution? Added a special tile attribute flag and made it so you can't enter such a tile by going south, and can't leave it to the north. I can see a bridge system in that technique.

Thanks Darkdata, for giving me such a nice challenge.

Ehehe. I was thinking along the lines of the level system of the GBA games. Glad that you worked it out though.

Sorry for not being online the last few days Super Paper Mario claimed my soul and held it on till I bet it.

Happy Anniversary, Xkeeper.
We are all thankful that you joined the board, because you had a positive influence on it's development.

That and you are a good person, even though some might say you would disagree.

So have a great day
On your anniversary
Internet cheers you

Almost everyone I know uses Adobe PDF reader, however there is a better solution.

At least for me, I found Adobe PDF reader annoying to download (dial-up), so a friend pointed me to foxit PDF reader.

It has a small filesize <2MB, and it's EULA is easy to understand. There is a payed version, but the free version is not crippled, (woo).

It is just smaller and does not load a billion plug-ins.

The only bad part is that it can't be emebed into web broswers, so you have to download the PDF's. (Or use open with foxit bla bla bla)

It also has one thing useful, you can change the default text/background colors.
No more black on white.
I have no brain late at night full of candy makes that right.

Anyway: Linky.

(Wow, this description sucks, never write stuff on a glucose rush people.)

It's more likely bots than anything else, they really should disable editing for unregested users, or have more sysops protecting the wiki.

I was bored (surprise, surprise) and wanted to play around with Photoshop. For some reason, I downloaded the "All Super Smash Bros. Melee characters" image and started adding additional characters to it.

Here's the result: Link (1.23 MB)

I know that some stuff might be poorly pasted. Whatever.

Bonus points to the first one to list all additions.

*Uses downthemall to download it lol dial-up*

Gets image.png.html
A html file?
*opens it in notepad*

<HTML><HEAD><META HTTP-EQUIV="Refresh" CONTENT="0.1">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no cache">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="-1">
</HEAD></HTML>

You know you are evil right?

You could always use <code>:

This is some
sample code
in the code tag
although you would just have to add some other small cCSS tweaks

I like the border. The color rocks too.

The board has always had both css and bbcode, why stop now?

If anyone read the README.txt, it mentioned that the author does not want this outside Japan.

I don't think Fuyosa wanted Lunar Magic hacked either, but hey, I am just the devil's advocate here.

(Wii post)

The odd amnesia tends to happen with any sort of accident like this... Years ago, I was hit by a car, and although I suffered no injuries (and my bike was fine too...), I still couldn't remember anything

Weird, isn't it?
The brain has this nice feature where it automatically suppresses really bad memories. You may also have gone into shock. If you were really unharmed, though, then yeah that is pretty weird.

Mine must be busted, there is some things I need my memory to store/del from a few of my misadventures.

I really have has quite a bit too much embarrassing shit happen to me
Also, you goggles they do nothing.

Jackdaws love my big sphinx of quartz.
The quick brown fox humps over the lazu dog.

Ok, I still need a wee bit more practice.
