Tired of your spouting off what I know to be false,I pulled an Alakazam with Pokerus I got off GTS out of a box. I was pretty sure it had no ATK EVs, and fed it a Kelpsy berry to make sure - nope, none. I gave it a Power Bracer. I fought two Kricketots. If you were right, I'd get 8 ATK EVs. If I was right, I'd get 16. I used two more Kelpsy berries, and both decreased ATK. Therefore, you're wrong. Quod erat demonstrandum.

I just got Pokémon Diamond.

Judging the size of this thread, I have a bit of catching up to do...

Anyone know if a Blaziken should know Aerial Ace or Brave Bird? Also, I plan on keeping him with Blaze Kick, Rock Slide, and Sky Uppercut. Is that good?

(I chose Blaziken instead of Infernape because I wanted Infernape to be a special sweeper.)

It can learn Aerial Ace but that´s from a TM, I think. I don´t know about Brave Bird but I can check that.

It learns Brave Bird at level 49 in Diamond/Pearl.

Hmm, is worry seed useful for anything? I know it's supposed to prevent sleep, but i'm not sure how that would be a good strategy. Preventing rest?

In a sense, it'd benefit rest. Also, Slaking in 2v2 battle? >>

No it wouldn't. Things with Insomnia can't use rest.

And before you say it, no, that's not a good strategy against resters.

...it seems to me that Gastro Acid would infact be beneficial on resters, in some cases. :/

...actually is Gastro Acid useful for anything? Heh, it would be interesting to know a list of... truly useless moves so to say.

Well, technically... By default, everything is better than Memento.

Except Memento, I guess.

Hmm, I can see why. It might be a bit useful at times in contests (ruby/sapphire, eight hearts in the tough category), but in super contests (diamond/battle) it's just way too much of a gamble (15 hearts in the tough category if everyone chooses the same judge... which is quite blind luck).

...but yeah, it's pretty useless in battle. Suiciding for stat change? oO I rather use curse.

Or explode.

Explosion is awesome if you have low HP and can pull it off first. I've rarely seen much live through it.. Other than Ghost types and those who resist normal.
