2(1)+2(1)=Total
2+2=4

So, if you use the Power items, the equation would look like this.

P(EV)+4 so if you battle a Pokemon that gives 3 EV's it'd give 6 with Pokerus and 4 with the Power item, so a maximum of 10.

I finally broke down and bought Pearl.

I wanted Diamond, but I was lucky to find a copy of either, both were sold out in every store but Best Buy, and all they had were two Pearl. I had no idea it was still selling so well. When I get back from my 2-week trip to the beach, expect me to be done with the game, and active in this topic.

Well, the point is Pokerus wont make the power item give you +8 in a stat, either way it's nothing too complicated... then again everyone claims these games are getting more and more complex.

That Bronzong, I had to kill with a critical hit. Lucian got it to full Calm Mind'd state.. and then used a Full Restore. But three for the champion? Damn. I had practicaly hit or miss every time. But I think my first time was much quicker than that. In fact, I think I was lower leveled.. had Empoleon, Gengar and Palkia as the only damagers. Palkia failed horribly during it.. 25 hours or so when I was done. I also had three HM slaves with me at the same time. XD Also, anyone want to battle me for fun? And no, Not you Alastor. >> ____________________

In that case Pokerus would double your EV's then it would make Macho Brace quadruple them... I don't think so... I'm fairly certain that Pokerus will only double EV's from wild Pokemon, because if it Doubled EV's otherwise you'd only have to use 5 vitamins before you couldn't use any more.

On another note, if you have a Power item that increases Speed, it would only put +4 in speed after battle, regardless of what you're battling at the time being, the power item would never put in more than 4 EV's since that's what it's programmed for... basically they exist so you can EV train two stats at the same time.

Hold Item+ EV's= Total*Pokerus. I still don't see how that would work anyways...

... I'm just really confused as to how you could think that logic makes sense. It's applied after, so it's already 4 + given EVs, and then the total of that is doubled by pokerus... It's very simple. Hold Item(EV) * Pokerus.

Well one of my friends just told me that Pokerus doesn't effect those items, I've got more than one source that those Items aren't effected by Pokerus.

DarkMastaC: for example. Power Anklet gives EVs to speed
DarkMataC: so you kill a Magikarp that gives 1 EV to speed
DarkMastaC: with pkrus thats 2 EVs
ShadowTails: The way I've understood it is Pokerus only effects wild Pokemon EV's
ShadowTails: not hold items
DarkMastaC: then the anklet gives +4
ShadowTails: so you'd have 6
ShadowTails: not 10
DarkMastaC: now Macho Brace Stacks
ShadowTails: Pokerus and Macho Brace is best to go
ShadowTails: since you can get a max of 12
DarkMastaC: yeah
