Not to mention ridiculous ways of constant PSP bashing. Similar to PC fanboys, they'll take any statement that's a legitimate flaw in the DS or it's games, and turn it around into flamebait by trolling poster of said comment.
OMG U SUX HOW DAR U INSULT TEH DS

Three questions...
1) Can you baton pass a Mean Look? Or just swap out normally after one?
2) Can Shuckle learn a move with the same effect as Mean Look?
3) Assuming the opponent has been mean looked, can this pokemon be defeated?

Shuckle @ Leftovers / Sturdy
Encore
Rest
Power Trick
Gyro Ball

Does anyone have a Treecko? I have each of the starters from Kanto and Johto, and also a Torterra and Empolean, ready for breeding. Squirtle isn't ready, however.
Just PM me if you want to trade.

I also need a Magmarizer. Does anyone have a spare or something?

You can pass Mean Look, but you can't switch and have Mean Look still in effect.
Shuckle can learn Wrap, which will stop switching out, but it's not even close to as reliable as Mean Look is.

Now let's see... we'd have to drop one of those moves for Wrap. I see what you're going for- trap the foe, the foe laughs at Shuckle, and starts setting up with a stat-boosting move, you Encore, Power Trick, then proceed to DROP THE BALL on them. However, here's a few issues:

Everyone knows Shuckle is packing Encore. Here's what'll happen- you send out Shuckle, it sucks a hit. Opponent switches to a counter (Blissey absolutely destroys Shuckle, for instance, with Seismic Toss), and gets wrapped. No big deal, because Tossey starts throwing you sky-high. Because Shuckle's HP is so bad, it'll die in 3 tosses, tops. Seismic Toss, Encore. Seismic Toss, Power Trick. Seismic Toss- Shuckle fainted. I'm not even sure if Shuckle can get more than 200 HP; if it can't, it falls before it can even Power Trick. The leftovers won't help you, by the way.

I was talking about constant flame-esque and illogical bashing. Stuff which goes beyond "netiqutte". Not just stating facts, or reasonably unbiased opinions.

I'm not even sure if Shuckle can get more than 200 HP; if it can't, it falls before it can even Power Trick. The leftovers won't help you, by the way.

Just to interject: Shuckle can easily survive 2 Seismic Tosses. On an HP IV of 0, 160 EVs into HP are required in order to push its HP to the point where Leftovers will put it to where it'll live through the second Seismic Toss.

Naturally, the higher the IV the lower the EVs required.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look plausible to make it survive the third toss.

Yes, I'm a loser with nothing better to do than calculate that

I also suck at strategy. I'm looking at what Shuckle can learn, and I can't see much of use. I'd reflexively suggest something like Dig for the evasion benefit for the one turn, but Shuckle has crappy speed and it doesn't help it anyway without Toxic; I'd suggest Roar/Whirlwind/whatever else does that, but it doesn't learn any of those. Substitute doesn't help the situation because it would get destroyed in one hit and things would go back how they were previously.

That leaves me with one dumb suggestion. Swagger? I don't know about the standard moveset for the Tosser, but if it relies entirely on Seismic Toss, the attack boost doesn't help it at all, and the ~50% chance of not being damaged may help, I guess.

Yes, I know I'm looking at and trying to solve exactly one situation, and failing rather miserably at that.

EDIT: At the cost of any and all versatility, I think a Sitrus Berry and perfect HP IVs/EVs will indeed allow Shuckle to survive the third Seismic Toss. Yay?

Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of how much Seismic Toss would pwn Shuckle.

However, the big fancy plan was to Baton Pass a Mean Look to Shuckle first, which does stop that. Just to make sure... Mean Look /does/ stay in effect after a Baton Pass, correct?

If it does, using that to set up Shuckle stops them from switching in a tosser, and I don't think toss is a terribly common move. On the off chance that you run into a tosser, you can just switch to an HP tank or your sweeper, kill it, and try the whole thing again.

I think it might be a bit too setup heavy though. Any thoughts?

This game is laughing at me..

I won the lottery with all five numbers, and have never found a shiny poke once. Now I have two masterballs for shiny pokes if I find them.

I have only seen one, and it's in the hands of the opposition.
A red version of whatever Cranios's evolved form is supposed to be in the hands of the last trainer on Victory Road -> Elite Four.

Also, there's this page that apparantly has to do with IVs...not sure how it's going to help.

I never saw a shiny from anything but a Wi-Fi battle, or a friend.

Also, that confirms it. I have a 31 IV speed Magnezone with a Timid nature. >>

Jesus christ. That's nearly impossible!

If you win the lottery again without getting a shiny, you should probably just stick to giving out Masterballs.

Fun fact: back in the GSC era, I hatched a shiny Cleffa from the egg that the daycare couple gave me.

Haha. XD
Well.. I have seen a blue Gastly and Shiny Raikou.. Both in G/S excluding the fixed shiny pokes. Gastly - Gold, no pokeballs. XD Raikou - silver, caught.. and lost as my crappy copy wiped itself. XD

I actualy have a 41/100000 chance of winning the lottery. If I win four times in a row without a Shiny, I'll give up. XD

At least if Raikou is shiny once, the data on it will be shiny every time.
