Holy crap, I just got a Magby with a Magmarizer in a trade today. Even though I got one from AlexAR yesterday, this particular Magby came with decent IVs and the right nature.
It has around 24 to 28 IVs in HP and Speed and around 19 to 23 IVs in Special Attack and Special Defense. Attack and Defense have the lowest IVs. It has a Timid nature so I'm definitely going to make it a Special Sweeper.

Oooo, my dad says he's gonna go buy a wifi adapter! I just realized that wifi works with dialup, so I wanna fight some people, or trade, or omething. This is happy-fying, so I like my luck.

I always wanted to battle my lv 50's to see just how good they are.

I am gonna have to whole-heartedly agree with MaxKnight on that one Darckthunder. Its bad enough getting stable connections with people with Wi Fi Broadband. Wi Fi Dial-up might make my DS cry.

Then again a good enough poke deal will warrant stroll through scary dial up territory.

I mostly want to clone my shiny Azelf and make a bunch of shiny trades. Mostly for a shiny Drapion, Mesprit, or Magikarp.

is the shineyness in genes like in the GBC games, or random like in the advance games? because I just migrated my shiny ditto (which I never needed gameshark to catch!!) and I want a shiny chimchar...

on another note, in gold I had the pokerus but never had a shiny encounter (gyarados doesn't count) and in emerald I got a shiny but no pokerus....

and once in gold I left 2 caterpies in the daycare and they grew to level 100 =P

I dunno about the shinyness in genes and stuff but it´s easier to get shiny pokémon in the 4th Generation games than in the 3rd.

And I´ve got Pokerus in both 3rd and 4th generation on my own.

Shinyness in GSC was based on a specific IV combination, that and a shiny ditto raises % of shiny egg to 1/64.
Shiny now is partially raised since I actually got my first one in Pearl, and PokeRadar will show you when you have radared a shiny.

Umm... The shiny Ditto in G/S/C did raise the odds of a shiny egg, but not to 50%. It was raised to something like 1/64, rather than the previous 1/some absurdly high number.

And people can't talk about the probabilities being different for ordinary encounters, because they were so absurdly low before (and still are) that you can't make a reasonable estimate without taking millions of battles into account.

Also, Gallade has over 180 attack and 160 sp. def at lv 50. Everything else is below 90.
