Smeargle's not fast enough to do that, though. It'll be outsped and subsequently killed. And then you're fail.

You're right. They're only good if someone starts off with some slow thing you can kill. Otherwise they die.

Hey, don't knock Smeargles

I used one to teach the aforementioned Weavile Ice Punch and Pursuit.

And I now have my Turtwig from the GTS:

Turtwig: Level 1/Female
Hasty nature
HP: 12
AT: 6
DF: 5
SA: 6
SD: 6
SP: 5
Overgrow ability

Moveset:
Tackle
Giga Drain

Looks solid to me. Can someone tell me what the hasty nature powers up though? I'm not familiar with them all; I only know that adamant powers up attack.

A Pokemon with a Hasty nature will have their speed powered up while the defense will be weakened.

Hmm, I guess I'll just have to be careful when training it.

That's too bad. You'd have done better with an Adamant or a Brave one. Either way, the Attack increase is welcome, and you really shouldn't be using any Special attacks with that low a Special Attack stat anyways. Also, Brave would work because it's not exactly winning any Speed records, maxing at Base 56 Speed on Torterra.

For the record:

Adamant - +Atk, -Sp. Atk
Brave - +Atk, -Spd

Eh, maybe I'll breed to try and get one with either of the two natures. Thanks for the info though. Now I know exactly why my Luxray is so powerful: Its adamant nature has Luxray's attack at 194 at Level 61. I can't imagine how high it'll be at level 100...

After my Scyther, I plan to raise a Ralts on Emerald.

Why you ask? I want a Gallade with Thunderpunch.

Might be around 320 - 365 is my guess... if EV trained correctly...

Here's a cool tip for you guys.... The best way to raise pokemon (that I know of, othewise enlighten me)

Breed two pokemon, hatch about 5 eggs at a time, and level up the males, then level up the females to level 10, then add all of the stats together and see who has the highest total. then breed those two, and keep doing it until about the 5th or 6th generation and pick the male or female with the best nature, and raise that one to 100....

It works wonderfully after you've given it the selected vitamins and EV trained it....

There has been alot of talk of training and stats at level 100. I am curious. How do you guys go about leveling your poekmon to 100? What areas do you frequent and what techniques do you use. (In Pokemon Diamond/Pearl of course)

I find the snow temple in snow village(I forget name) and Turnback cave to be good places for exp.

I prefer training my Pokemon by fighting the Elite Four over and over again. Sure, it is a bit tedious but fighting trainers give you more experience than fighting wild Pokemon. Having those lucky eggs really help, especially if I'm training a Pokemon from a trade.

The Blastoise that I migrated gets around 6000 Experience for fainting one of the Champion's Pokemon because of Lucky Egg and the fact that migrating Pokemon are treated like those you get from trades.

From a level 1 egg, I drop them in the day-care until they're in the ballpark of level 20.

Then, if I'm EV training it (which I usually am if it's an egg-raised poke), I do that which can get it anywhere from level 25 to 35.

Then, I give it my Lucky Egg, and have it fight weaker trainers until it's 50 or so. From there, I can typically grind levels at either the Golbats in Victory Road, or the rich duo south of Hearthome city. Once it's at 70-80, I either continue grinding at the Golbats or have it bash the Elite 4 + Champ, if it can. If I go the 1337 4 route, I typically have to spend a lot on hyper potions/ revives, until it's at 90 or something, but the advantage is that its not as boring as the Golbats.

It's a process called an IV Battle. Wi-Fi battle someone using autolevel to 100, then write down the stats. Run from battle and look them up with an IV calculator. Very simple proceedure.

On another note, has anyone accomplished the feat of single battle tower room trainer #100?, I have only just passed the Tower Tycoon for the first time. The second time I heard he has Heatran, Cresselia and something else.

Ok, I can't figure out how to work the IV calculator. What do I put for the EP Values? The values I would get from battling it?

You put in how much it's received. If you don't know, you... uhh... can put random values in, as long as you realize your result won't be particularly valid?

(If it's freshly hatched, they're all 0 of course.)

This Calculator is more effective if you can't lvl 100 battle, but it takes more work.

How would I know all the EVs? My Luxray is at level 61 and I sure didn't keep track of every EV it could've obtain since I started with it? Does this thing really expect people to really check and write down every EV it has gained?
