But whether I use the URL or just upload from my computer, it says "profile updated successfully," yet it doesn't change, even after CTRL-F5 and clearing cache.

Am I doing something wrong?

Have you tried uploading the file from the hard drive?

Yeah. I even went back to nobody'sboard and checked the posts there in case it would be in any way relevant.

The only step I couldn't follow was deleting the old image from the board, as I don't see that option.
