My first post!

Anyways, where do you all work? I cant keep a job for more than 6 months, so I'm always changing.

I just, 2 days ago, got a job at Sam's Club. I push the carts!

I don't work... well, I mow the lawn occasionally... the closest thing I do to work is school/religious ed required community service, which I did last summer at a local hospital.

Used to work at Subway, but they fired me without fair reason. Pretty sure they only wanted me gone because they didn't want the workplace to be multi-racial though...

Fast food isn't my thing anyway. *shrug* I'm gonna try to get a job at the library next time. That's definitely my kind of job.

Hey, I worked at Subway too! I would say it lasted about 3 weeks. During my time there, they hired one person. One day in the middle of a lunch rush, this new guy they hired said he had to use the restroom... instead... he escaped through the back door with all the money!

It was awesome.

I often fill-in for one of Dr Mom's secretaries if there's an illness or something.

Used to work for a different doctor (podiatrist) as secretary, too. Got fired because I wasn't a hot girl. Actually because I refused to babysit his Lemming child for no extra pay AND manage all of his paperwork because he DIDN't FUCKING KNOW HOW HIS OWN SHIT WORKED. grfgrfgkrfkgr.. still pisses me off. And Dr Asshole milked copays from patients even when all they were there for was to be handed their insoles, so I figured out a way to save patients some money Just hand them their soles at the counter and say "quick, go before he sees." At least ONE of us could make patients happy. Yes, I am a defender of justice.

Since then I had a holiday job at a coffee kiosk at the local mall, and probably drank more money's worth in specialty drinks than I made in pay. The joy of working alone But the douchebag working the shift before mine would pocket money (or just fuck up) so I never had a balanced register. It was worth it for an old couple to walk up and the man orders "something that'll make my wife horny!"

I've been a sports reporter at a weekly newspaper for about two years now. If there's anything I've learned, it's that coaches shouldn't get busted for DWI.

My Neighborhood. I deliver the newspapers. It's close enough, I suppose. I might be looking at programming soon enough though.

Well, I most recently worked for an exterminating company in the mountains. I think it's "Dirty Jobs" worthy. I also worked for the airport loading planes, which will be featured on Dirty Jobs tonight. You guys will get to see what I put through for 4 months.

Last summer I worked at a lottery ticket inspection plant in my hometown. It had great hours and decent pay, and the work itself wasn't very physical, but 3/4 of the people that worked there were seniors that got pissed off if you slacked off or did better than them. I only hung around for a few months before quitting. I'd very much like to work there again, the job itself isn't very demanding, but I couldn't stand many of the people there

Jiffy Lube.

Been there for about two years now. It sucks, but its not really -that- bad, and I've managed to get two raises through my time in working there.

Its definitely one of the most fucked up companies in the Nation though. A place I'd never NEVER want to be any kind of manager at.

Right now I'm at university, but by the Summer that'll be all over and done with, hopefully.. and into the wonderful world of job hunting as a games programmer. Yaaay..

As for right now, part-time work at my old highschool, Network Technician, 'tis fun. :.

Martin's, it's a grocery store. I'm a bagger, but I almost never do any bagging. It's not due to laziness, though, it's because pushing the carts, putting returned items back, and taking the trash out is also the baggers' job, and I'm the only one that usually does that. Doesn't leave much time for actual bagging, I've found.

I'm not working now, but last summer I worked at the concession stand of a local minor league baseball stadium. It was really boring.

Currently, I work part-time at a store called Noble.
It's pretty much a Comic / Game / Trading Card store combined. They only thing we sell is the stuff people bring in to sell to us. It also has a place to eat in the back. It's fun working there, just as long as people come.

I'm on the rails for my job, beeing an engineer. It's quite an interesting job to do. And pays much better than McDonalds.

As I first read Subways, I thought about an actual subway, and not the restaurant chain with bad sandwiches (The do not use butter! Scandal!).

Unemployed ;x I used to take the occasional odd job at this nursing home up the street part time...basically, 100 bucks a weekend to put donuts out on a plate but I mostly only did it because my friend was there and we would hang out. Our hours got completely moved around so I havn't been there in a while. I don't buy much anyways, so I usualy just borrow money from my folks if I really need something that badly.
