Is there any interesting story behind your username?

Me, I just thought up "Koopa Myster" quickly in my head as I was registering way back then. It kinda evolved to "Magikoopa Myster" soon after. Now I'm simply "MM." Now you know.

What about you?

But where does the Lunar come from? Lunar Magic? An interest in the moon? A random adjective you picked out of a dictionary?

Kernal is part of the OS used in the 8-bit Commodore computers, such as the Commodore 64. I picked it because I still like old computers, and it's short, pronounceable, and contains only letters of the English alphabet capitalized normally. (Yes, Commodore called it Kernal, not Kernel.) Of course, nowadays everyone and their dog has a name beginning with K, so some people probably confuse my username with others.

For some reason, it seems to me this has been done before...

Well...
Mine was random.
It's been used elsewhere.
A guy who draws some wierd Super Sayian Tweety uses the name.
Bah...
Probably should use a different username next A.B.

But where does the Lunar come from?

Well, there was this "fad" in the third carnation. Everyone put an element next to their name, like "ice" or "fire." I chose Lunar because I have an interest in the moon and darkness. Before you ask, I'm not goth.

Lunar has been there since.

Madman200, if you don't like your username, you can try asking an admin (Acmlm, Xkeeper, or Ranko) for a name change. That's what I did when I registered as "Eyeball Eaters" but wanted to use my usual alias, Kernal.

Nah, nah, it's not that I don't like it. I'll use it, but if there's too many copies going around, I will have to make a switch to keep my idendity.

Yeah, one of my old usernames (Banedon) was used by several other people on the Internet, plus there was a Brandon at two of the boards I went to at the time (Acmlm's and PureZC; I think he has an account here).

Googling Kernal, I find some sites referring to the Commodore OS, a lot of misspellings of kernel ("Linux kernal", etc), and a...peanut company?

Oh gosh, not this again! XD

The origins of my username.... A dream. Simple as that. You may remember where my old username, pikaguy900, came from, but this one? Nah, it's new. My dreams are weird. I like being a Yoshi in my dreams. So I made up some new kind of Yoshi called a Phoenix Yoshi. Basically, a cross between the powers of a Phoenix, and the cute Yoshi. And they can live FOREVER. :o If they get killed, they just come back. Like Phoenixes when they die- They burst into flames and are reborn from the ashes.... Though, Phoenix Yoshis don't burst into flames. But... Only ONE THING can truly destroy one for good. ...I won't tell you what that is! I want to live.

So yeah. That's where my username came from.

Mine is kind of weird. It has a long history. Way back in elementary school, I'd invented a rather lame hand gesture which became known as 'the claw'. People originally assumed it had negative connotations. Yet, I didn't intend on that, so I began writing a backstory.

'the claw' soon became a character called 'The Claw'. And that was what I based my username on around early 2001 after I'd dropped Mirror-Raichu. Take note, the 135 part that's sometimes in my username is the Pokedex number of Jolteon. Also, another confusing point is that a CAW resembling myself I put in many wrestling games is also called just 'The Claw'.

I'd like to drop this username too. It's so boring...

Mine came from the idea of data being different types. I think I can blame Megaman Access the anime for this name.

Edit: Typo Fix.

Well, it started with the search for a Super Mario World editor (didn't know of LM yet). But somehow, that got jumbled into the phrase of "Super Mario World 64 editor". I said, "Yeah, sure." And I clicked on it. And there I see the infamous Alan Rare claiming to be the maker of the SM64 editor, which we all know is the work of VL-Tone. But anyway, I find a post by a professor_gad leading me to Acmlm's Board, aka archive3. It was to the 70+ page (30-ish at the time) TT64 thread.

Eventually, I found the screenshot of the editor and thought, "What would I do with that?" I quickly thought of how a Luigi hack would be a nice idea. So, instead of making up some weird hack name, I used the K.I.S.S. method and decided on SuperLuigi64. And so, thats how I got my username.

My username came to me in a dream

At the time of my registration on Acmlm's Board I was playing games from the MegaMan Battle Network series a lot. I decided to take my username from the name of a character in that series (look at display picture).

The thread has been done before plenty of times. In fact, it has been done on this incarnation before as well. I'm going to quote myself:

Even though my username is a real name, I got it off one episode of Megas XLR. It was the Thanksgiving Throwdown episode and they made fun of the Mario Bros. along with some other characters. The Mario Bros. were known as the Fabio Bros. in that episode.

After that episode, the username became stuck as soon as I used it as a nickname when I first got the DS a few weeks later.

So there you have it.

You know, I highly doubt it'll be hard what my username's origins are... but, I was once known as "DarkStryker", which was a character of darkness I created during Jr. High. However... over the years gotten more interested in the EXE series of the Rockman universe, and then, I soon became Forte.EXE when I created my fan character ForteZero.EXE, and joined Acmlm's Board around the same time I was interested in hacking SMW.

Hmmm...

Prepare for a fairly lengthy story...

A while back, I was going through my "Kirby" phase. Drawings, sprites, wallpapers, everything. (This happened after my EEnE phase ) But yeah, I stumbled upon Acmlm (for rom hacking), and tried to think of a name. Take my addiction for that time "Kirby" add something that describes my addiction "all the way", and we have...

"Kirby all the way."

Time passes. Stuff happens. I eventually get around to asking someone to shorten my name to Kirby ATW (Since, everyone was calling me that). So now I am...

"Kirby ATW"

MORE TIME PASSES DUN NUH NUH UH. People start calling me "KATW", plus I feel a need for a name change, so I change my name AGAIN... to...

"KATW"

MORE TIME DOOT DOOT DOOOOOO

I start talking with people on the board on AIM, IRC, etc. Sooner or later, Danielle starts calling me "Kattwah"...

I change my name during the royalty fad to "King Kattwah" and it stuck!

After the fad, I drop the "King" part...

"Kattwah"

AND HERE WE ARE THE END ;D

I like the word "Darck." First heard of it from Dragon Warrior Monsters II.

I have an interesting story to share!

Ok. I admit it. I'm a big professional wrestling fan. Back in the day, to be specific, an ECW fan.

A few friends and I decided to start up our own little backyard wrestling federation. It ended up being pretty serious and went for about eight years. When we pretty much disbanded (people moved) we went out with a bang (barbed wire + chairs + tables + ladders + fire = fun. I wish we would have had a camera ). I ended up winning and going home with a replica belt (a whole $180 worth).

Anyway when I chose my name ever so long ago, I was a big fan of the Dodge Viper (still am today ). I'm also a fan of snakes (I currently have a boa constrictor), so I chose Viper. My friend, Greg, thought "Vyper" was different and cooler-looking, so I went with it.

When I got the internet I used it and it's stuck to this day. Pretty nifty little backstory

Mine was just a random name I thought up that I thought sounded cool. I'm not very good with names, so this was about as original as it would get(kinda sad). Of course, now sometimes people get the idea that I think I'm superior when I join a new forum, annoying. That's the reasoning behind the title, to get that out of people's heads. Although I've been at Acmlm's for a long time, I wasn't always around, and new members do appear.
