I never used the backquotes around table and column names in PHP. Does it really add security if the names are always hardcoded (never from variables)? |

table names aren't so important I guess (I use them for stylistic reasons) but using htings like ''s are much more useful... ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Yeah, I know you should always quote things, and also use the appropriate functions like mysql_escape_string. I just didn't understand the `backquotes`. I learned SQL in high school (it was Oracle, not MYSQL) and they never even mentioned the existence of backquotes, so when I started using MYSQL I never used them. |

I changed mine, and like some people here, I have a file with every password hidden on my old PC. Just so I don't forget passwords.
Also xkeeper, how did he cracked the passwords (or at least the hash)? JavaScript? |

I just changed my password too, good looking out Xkeeper, I really appreciate it. Not too long ago one of my friend's MySpace account was hacked into. And she was very pissed off about that, there was nothing she coulda done but just make a new My Space profile.
It was a hole that someone found that you couldn't change your account settings. And the picture hadda pentagram with a Goat's head. ____________________ My Linktree |

Posted by NightKevI caught him hacking my tagboard last month (around the time I first made it). Suprise. (Caught by direct IP match even) Honestly, I should've taken the hint and just fucking banned him. ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Ummm... This is odd. I could've sworn I changed my password, but now it's back to my original one BEFORE I tried to change it. I have to type my new password in the Password field on Edit Profile, right? |

Yep, that's the place, and be sure to hit the "Edit Profile" button at the bottom. Then try logging out and back in with your new password. |

Mine works.
My old password's still in commission on a couple of areas, but one I rarely go to and the other's a browser game. |
