I've been wanting to make a hack of AR called Arkista's Ring 2: The New Adventures of Old Christine.

One Starfox 64 sequence playing from Mario 64:



Turns out the format I'm working is used by more Nintendo games than I though. Zelda 64 is also a modified version of it, but a bit different than the version used in MK64 / Wave Race 64 / Star Fox 64.

It's basically taking the data from other games and changing a few commands as Mario64 uses an earlier version of the same ("Nintendo-generic") format. I got also one Zelda64 sequence to play in Mario64, but it requires a lot more editing.

The SMB3/SMB1/Mario Galaxy were done from scratch with the help of some simple custom tools.

I've been beta testing an editor called NinJax, created by never-obsolete. The editor has features that can make hacking this game easy for the user. So far Act 1 is edited and don't worry about somma the enemies going crazy toward the end of the level, it'll get fixed. This hack should be released sometime in 2009, enjoy the video... ;0)

For the record, the file name shown in Usenti ("5a2faa74") is the personal value that causes this specific spot pattern, and this was written by Cearn.

He's happy this only has to happen when the Spinda's image is loaded.
