I like the idea of the of the select screen, good luck with it. I'm keeping my eyes open on this project.

I'll do my best! I've already worked out in my head how I'm gonna do it. Now I just have to find the free space.I'm just hoping it won't require some sort of crazy ass bank switching to provide a more space.

I'd also like to announce that I will be attempting to place a new ASM hack into the stage select screen that will display the name of the robot master at the bottom of the screen when you place the cursor on his panel. It will probably be a huge hassle, but meh, i'll enjoy doing it.
Nice idea there. It shouldn't be too hard to do.

WIP Day-Night cycle in Mario 64:

Later on it will have more intermediate states and the music may also change to a calmer one when it's night.

Googie and I have been talking about hack ideas lately. I asked him if he could come up with a cool idea for SMB3, and he said, how about using the Tanooki Suit as a magnet, and when the enemies touch Mario, they die. I thought that was a great idea, so I got to work on it.

And thus, Magnet Mario was born!

Oh, and by the way, the reason the giant ? block goes is because it is treated like an enemy. If you look in SMB3 Workshop, you'll know what I'm talking about.

It can be used when Mario is in a level, after a level is passed the player won't have it anymore. It can be one of those items that'll be rare to find.

By reading the description of this Magnet Mario, I assumed enemies would be smoothly attracted to Mario if they're close enough... but it's actually some kind of POW that kills everything on screen.

I'm actually going to be trying to get that to happen. I want them gradually be pulled in, and while the timer lasts, they can be killed if they touch Mario.

The animation is definitely raw right now, but it's a cool idea. I'd restrict it even further though. Maybe you could make it like the speaker power up that Kirby had in Kiby's Adventure? That is have it only be used 3 times and then Mario/Luigi goes back to 'super' or 'Racoon'.

Maybe you could, instead of using it as a instant death trap make a level where you have to turn metal and get picked up by other magnets and get to other parts or secret parts of stages.

So I figured I had the time to do it, so why not?

Meet the Lesser Vampire, maybe he shoots fireballs or something, who knows?

**Edit**

Decided to try to work on a new logo for the title screen too.

A better version of the original Super Mario Bros 'water theme' in Mario 64:

This time it was built from scratch instead of hacking another sequence.

I simply love all of the work you are doing with SM64. Yours is the first SM64 hack that I'm actually excited about. That whole front of the castle under water is just awesome! Keep up the good work!
