Sheesh, it took me forever but I got this thing to atleast display all the screens of the first level no problem. No editing yet. Working on display all levels first. WOOOOOO brain hurts

Amazing! A Kid Icarus level editor that could work in newer versions of Windows? I'll keep my eye on this one... nice work!

I really need to get around to playing Kid Icarus one day so I can actually try useing this editor.

I've heard it's a pretty damn fine game, but I don't know, it just doesn't appeal to me. Maybe this Kid Icarus editor will be the next Lunar Magic? Who knows, at least it shows that the Rom Hacking scene is still up and moving, just not as fast as it used to move.

Also, is it Kid IC-KAR-US or Kid ICK-A-RIS?
I need to know, I've been swapping between the two ways of saying it, and I am leaning twords the former.

Got object highlighting and moving things around, along with changing object and palette. Nothing saves yet ;P But I plan to get a release out within a couple of weeks.

Just out of curiosity, what are you using to make that? Like, what language and library, if any?

Very nice! Will you be adding enemy support eventually?

Language: C++ using only Win32 API

Enemy support will eventually come when I figure it out. I've spent days searching for it but can't seem to get anything.

How to describe? Well, you'd be better off watching it...as it's a rather unintelligible when in screenshot form.

AW2 Related Linky

It's my modular Lightning Strike. Doesn't do the fancy graphics thing on all units, but it's functional. I did it because it was easier than figuring how AW2 did Lightning Strike in the first place. ;

Actually making progress, imagine that. Objects will be coming soon, they take a while to code. This is Ganon's room (room0) to those who don't recognize it.

Awesome tiles.

Nice to see the progress. Look forward to seeing more.

Awesome. Nice to see a decent alternative to HM in the works.

Hows the overworld editing side of things coming along?

I haven't started on it, but from the look of it it's a lot easier. (no objects to worry about)

Am i allowed to post nsf's in here?

http://elazulspad.net/matrixz/mm4ex.nsf

Some work on Megaman 4's sound data. Tracks 1, 2, 11, 14 and a few more are affected. Before anyone asks, im not doing a hack or anything.

Seconded. From first impressions, I'd be way more motivated to create a complete hack for that game rather than LTTP due to the simplicity of it (for example, the way the overworld is set up as opposed to Z3's, which I've never been able to get my head around )...but MoN's editor in works could most likely make editing Z3 less of a nightmare.

I would love this feature. Click on a door in the overworld and be taken to that level. (basically a simple form) Then a more advanced form with room id's, etc for the experienced crew.
