Thanks Insectduel. Well, hacking the Japanese RM2 isn't necessary. This US version, has two difficulty settings, the hard one is the one the Japanese version uses, which is Normal for them. I guess they decided to give the US gamers an easier version if they wanted. But, there is RAM address in this game, which is specifically for the difficulty levels. If I wanted to make it like the original Japanese version, I could. But I like the fact of a having an easier difficulty. I think the player should be allowed to have multiple options. If you guys played Mega Man ZX Advent, you are going to love this hack, because I'm borrowing ideas from it. The only difference is, mine won't have a huge chunk of dialogue, and so much high-tech graphics.

I kinda notice in the signature and I view the site. Are you planning to do Protoman too. I have the patch for MM2 that has Protoman GFX.

Are you going to change the level graphics, or you're changing the palettes? I have a few suggestions on tilesets from other NES, and no not a SMB1 tileset lol! xD

This will be another overhaul hack, levels, graphics, features. Those are the only kinds of hacks I like, and the only kinds of hacks I do. I'm currently working on the story right now, and the MM2 game engine is being heavily altered. With Protoman, I'm not sure what I'm doing with him yet. Sorry. But I appreciate the patch you offer. Thanks.

Since I never really played any of the Metroid games, does this mean I fail?

Is this a new project, or is it the same Toad one you already have? By the way, I like how you bridged together the goal card boxes. It looks more fresh.

This is the old hack that's on You Tube, I decided to poke at it since it'll have 32 levels. Glad you like the goal card boxes, I don't remember what came over me when I did that lol!

That hack... needs to be worked on by me fucking immediately. I need to get back to making two-way vertical scrolling areas.

I have an idea about some of the background tiles. It seems like it would be very possible to get more than one background sheet for the same level, but not in the same section of the level though. I'll look into that further, just in case we want more graphics for certain levels.

Speaking of Castlevania, I've done a little work on the menu. The boots are from Vampire Killer (MSX2), and are taking the place of the old sub-weapon spot that you can scroll through using select. The new weapon select spot uses foreground sprite graphics and I will remove the ability to scroll through different sub-weapons.

so basically 1 sub-weapon and multiple special abilities, much like Vampire Killer.

Here's a series of screenshots from a hack I did several months ago - created a multiplayer level for N64's Goldeneye from scratch...

First off, awesome stuff bmw, cool to see some N64 love even though I suck at Goldeneye.
Secondly
or or
I was going for creepy, weird, and off putting here. I hope I did a good job.

I like the one on the right the most. But is the skull part of the foreground? If it isn't I suggest muting down the colors. Good job!

So setz came up with a good idea involving taking the last boss fight outside, so this is what I got going on for it so far.
