Haha. Too old huh? How about this one?

Nah, I liked the first. If you like the second one better though, I'd suggest you go with the other's hair :/

Nuts and Milk--I'll have to give that a whirl when the edito's done :o

Just a few screens about my work on the desk in my living room.

Great design eh.

It didn't take me long to create Patchouli's Insignia but took me 2 hours. It should be used in every end levels.

Just to let you know that all sprite graphics are inserted. Now I should get to the frames. And possibly do Big Eye and Yellow Devil's tilesets if possible.

I'm still learning how to edit levels without making the game crash or create any bugs. It's best for me to use Visine than Rock and Roll.

But I still use Rock and Roll for other stuff. Just not for editing levels.

Does not compute.

Nice video about that news report. I wonder if these black suits they talking about are Team Rocket or something.

No, they're not. They're suit nigras (POOLS CLOSED!) getting caught in some political commentary.

If you're doing a complete Touhou themed hack instead of Megagirl...i wouldn't put too many bosses from megamari in the hack. Otherwise it'd be kinda...lame i guess. There's plenty of other touhou characters you could use that would fit in perfectly for all the bosses in MM1.

that's just me though :p

I am working on Megagirl. It's just Cirno and Patchouli are the only Touhou characters.

Most of the screens are my Test level roms before inserting it on my actual ROM making it less buggy.

And I'll add possibly 1 more boss Touhou character. But you have to find out for yourself. One huge sprite in the CHR graphics routine can possibly fit the Yellow Devil and to work on the frames too.

Let's hope I get the best luck working on the frame routine.

Note: It's not the huge Patchouli as Yellow Devil. It's another character.

Insectduel: Good luck with that. I like what I see in YY-CHR.

Kawa: Cool man. I wish more people posted Pokémon hack videos.

Googie: Nice. Those 8-bit graphics give you those nostalgia feelings. I like it. I never played the original Nuts and Milk before. I might have to give it a shot.

Thanks man, I thought people weren't gonna feel the smb3 graphics. People on You Tube like the video, I was almost gonna change the graphics. ^__^'

Right now I am working on a Mega Man 1 Hack called "Wily's Revenge" Here are some screenshots:

Right now, I am almost finished. I just need to test the levels, and then I'm going to replace the soundtrack with music from some of the other NES games (only problem is I have know idea how too, lol)

Interesting screenshots. In some ways I'm impressed, in some I'm amused, and in yet others I'm irritated. Why must so many Mega Man hacks be crossovers, and most specifically SMB1 crossovers? This is the third one I've seen recently that's done this, and it bothers me to no end. Can't people make a hack that tries to be an actual Mega Man game?

The amusing part is the use of the MM2 intro graphics for a stage. My (slowly developing) MM1 hack uses this graphic set, as well, and I've seen it done a few times before. Guess I should find another graphic set to rip instead for more variety.

Aside from that, though, the hack at least looks quality. Your graphic rips all look pretty nice; I'm speaking specifically about the Blizzard Man stage graphics. I know it's hard to pull off decent rips from MM3+ because of the different TSA format in those games. The minute amount of stage design shown in the shots looks decent; I see no major pitfalls or major signs that there might be pitfalls elsewhere. I should note, though, that in the Blizzard Man screenshot, the first mountain looks pretty odd because the right side of the mountain cuts off behind the mainground. Perhaps a repositioning of the second mountain might improve matters. Also, I suggest a little bit more work should go into the title screen; currently, it looks like a mish-mash. The BEGIN! text also looks out of place (partially because it's off-center). I recommend removing that text and eliminating the wait time between when you press start and when the boss select screen shows up. It shouldn't be too hard to do this using FCEUXD. I'd give you the ROM address for the timer, but I apparently neglected to put it in my notes when I found it a couple years ago.

Good luck on the hack.

I'm with NetSplit with the smb1 graphics, try another game like maybe Duck Tales or something. Seeing these screens gave the kick I need to do that MM1 hack with graphics from Darkwing Duck, but yeah if it was me I'd nix the smb1 graphics but it's your hack. Good luck with it though.

Yeah lol. I got the idea from infidelity's Mega Man 2 hack, and I thought that it would look good in my hack, so I decided to use it.

Thank you so much for pointing that out! I probably never would have noticed that if you hadn't said anything about it. I just now fixed it.

Well, I'm still probably going to keep the smb1 graphics. I mean, it just doesn't seem like a NES games without some of those good ol' classic smb graphics. But then again, that is just my opinion.

And thank you guys for the helpful comments, I appreciate it.

I'm gonna comment more about your MM1 Hack Jimmy.

The title name of the game actually bother me. The title "Wily's revenge" is actaully the US version of MM1 of Game Boy. How about "Wily's Return" or "Wily's Vengence".

I do agree what NetSplit said about these things he talked about. My current hack "Megagirl" would never use SMB1 object graphics.

I do consider for myself to insert the object graphic rips for my level hack really soon when I'm done with ASM stuff and including sprite structures. Mine should have ASM features of the game. And of course, every MM game looks better with different level scroll layouts. Your screens are pretty nice.

And talk about music editing, I would love to do it too, But I don't music hack yet so here is what you looking for? I may need team help on music editing later on.

Music Disassembly for MM1

I hope you finish your MM1 hack soon. Mine is a long way to go.

How come the tiles in YY-CHR are nicely placed?
Tiles are never structured like this in a ROM...
How can YY-CHR figure how to dispose the tiles so they form intelligible pictures?

I've seen that will other game's screenshot, including Zelda I and Mario 2...
