Okay I have found the code that allows me to change every attribute of each character (inc. speed, jump height, frames-of-animation-per-move, location of collision blocks, etc) So basically this means that Simon Belmont will have his whip, and this will not only be a graphics hack, but each character will play almost exactly like their original game. Oh joyous day. |

Just four more levels to go and text changes, I'm trying to release this sometime next week. I woulda release it tomorrow if I were free but I gotta go to court (Not for me). Luigi-San : On the flying blocks, it is "Coconut" a robot of the game "Sonic 2" on Sega Genesis.
And it is not Chargin ' Chuck, it is Dry bone which I replaced by a Skull Hammer Brother. Celice : the Yoshi's Island Yoshi is a sprite which I modified by means of a GFX found on SMW central. |

Posted by Celice yeah, it's an editor for Adventure Island 3, for NES Here is another screenshot, now showing enemies positions. Actually, enemies are shown, you can move them (by dragging them) and even change them with right click, which changes them to the enemy selected in the list in the upper right corner, and deletion of enemies is not implemented yet. The enemy data is not written in the rom yet, only the scenes data. I'm delaying this because i want to be sure the enemy data is correctly written, that is, no garbage shown in the levels because of banks issues, which i'm currently working on (and you can be sure is a pain in the ***, because i couldn't find a way to predict how the banks change during the run through the level, i just know how to make them fixed through all the level, but in that way you're more restricted to what enemies you can use. Right now I'm just enumerating all the cases in banks change, from which to which scene. I've 40 cases. There are about 140 left. and Considering this Simon is from Wai Wai World, I'm surprised he doesn't suck beyond belief. The Simon Belmont's from the Castlevania Trilogy didn't look right because of their small heads. So this cartoony one fits right in with Link and the other characters.
I altered a lot of his graphics though so it animates like Dracula's curse, and his speed and jump height will be from Dracula's curse. |

I didn't think it was possible at first but I did it anyways. Here are the definite players so far Sonic, Shadow, Simon Belmont, Link, Orphius, Kuros, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and Samus. After that there are still 7 more slots I am still deciding on whether to put Kid Icarus, Kirby, Yoshi, Master Higgins, Bonk, and others. Kirby is problem of course cause the sprites I'd rip would only be 2x2 where all the others are at least 4x2 In order to make Kid Icarus I would need to learn to make projectiles. EDIT: I fixed some of the colors and added detail when Sonic is standing. |

Master Higgins: Thanks for giving me another project to start on when this editor is finished. Lemme ask you something, is it possible to add support for AI2? I'm just wondering since AI2 and AI3 are very similar to each other.

elbobelo: This thing looks really cool. I think the Simon you used fits perfectly with the other sprites. As far as ideas for other character's... I would love to see MegaMan in it. Samus Vs. Megaman would totally rock. |
