uh.

Actually, my table's just messing around. I still need to learn every last corner of VP before I can begin to work on a real table.

I'm also waiting for the next updateto happen, changing light colors for the win

Granted its a mockup but after having worked on an idea for a good Wario Land Goal room replacement and having spent hours on this tonight I'm happy that this'll be in my hack after only 10mins of tweaking Map16 blocks and Palettes tomorrow.

The Goal room will show monochrome pieces of the levels just completed and will most likely become the tileset for switch palaces as well. But still haven't decided on a replacement for the SMW goal yet.

Dou you want it to be monochrome as in black and white? I would go with a green / yellow touch, as with the original game boy, what do you think?

Hmm the idea was black and white because that was what was stuck in my head...but yeah I guess the colouring is more green/yellow back when it was on GB. Last time i played Wario Land it was on my Gameboy Color so would have been using the black and white palette.

May see what it looks like with the old skool GB colouring.

I like the style of it, but those grays seem to clash quite a lot--so, please do try the GameBoy's chrome colors. At least, colors similar to it.

First half is from my old crappy first hack. The other half is what I am working on now.

I don't even know why I am posting it here since it will get bashed for crappynes.

The long fades are terribly painful. Please avoid those in the future. Otherwise, looks decent, I think? Main issues are that the areas still seem shaped like the ones in Super Metroid, and the green sky is a bit weird.

Yes the fades suck. And I did have to cut out a lot to get it under 10 minutes. ;/
I see nothing wrong with the green sky. This is not earth, It might as well be some sort of gas.

how about the fact that the green clashes horribly and is extremely bright. If you toned it down a little it wouldn't be so annoying.

Aya looks a bit stiff, and isn't very well animated (which especially shows when she's big), in my opinion... but other than that, the game looks good.
