From what little I helped months ago, kuja killer's hack seemed awfully apt at being entirely different from the original ;] |

Yeah, I helped out with some code in his hack way back when, so I got a chance to see how it's been going. He's definitely shattering all of the original game's limitations, which is pretty cool and a huge undertaking. I expect good things when that hack is finally finished, but he's really made it such a huge project that he'll be working on it for years and years to come...
At one point, I had changed the mapper of my MM1 hack and completed a functional saving system (with New Game and Continue selectable on the title screen), but I reverted back to the original mapper and dropped the SRAM aspects because I decided to work within the original game's limitations. This presents a lot of its own challenges, particularly when I'm trying to get my additions to the game to fit. I'm also restricted to crappy formats that are a pain to work with because better formats take up more space. It's challenging in its own ways, but I really admire the fact that kuja is going more or less in the opposite direction (pushing the limits rather than confining himself). I'm definitely looking forward to his hack. |

Hmmm if only I can figure out how to change Bowser's tilemap enough...
Doesn't help that it's like 2 tiles too big... **Edit** In other news... seriously, I'll make the rest of the sprite sheet if someone want to replace the Doc Robot. |

Very cool concept, Bio, but I think you have character switching a bit too much. If it's just for the sake of showing off, then that's okay, but I think it'd be best to not do that too much in the game itself. |

Posted by Dr. Mario Looking pretty cool. I've personally not decided yet how I'll deal with the 2nd half of the game for my hack about the doc robots. But I won't worry about that for a long long time. I may end up replacing the whole concept entirly (very likely) ...or not. I won't know for at least 2 years But that's very good for just 3 colors despite the NES limitations |

Posted by never-obsolete That's pretty cool. I found the level data for the Contra games way back when; if you've any interest in adding support to the program for Contra Force and Super C, my notes claim that the level data is at 18010 and ~A010, respectively. I'm not 100% sure those are right, since I haven't looked at this data for 5 years (literally), but that's what it says in my notes. Keep up the good work. |

Boom! We're currently decompiling pieces of ROM to make a 100% true to the original battle system for OpenPoké, but I thought this intermediate attempt at rewriting was funny so... ____________________ Wife make lunch - Shampoo Opera - give it a spin Spare some of your free time? <GreyMaria> I walked around the Lake so many goddamn times that my sex drive was brutally murdered Kawa rocks — byuu |
