That fucking owns, but all the links I see are either down or Crapidshare (which may as well be down because "You have (perpetually) reached the download-limit for free-users.") |

Posted by Dr. Mario Hmm.. Well, I'd be very interested in finding out what they did exactly, so if it isn't too much trouble.. perhaps ask them for me? I'm going to check into some stuff meanwhile and see if I can find out anything about it. Thanks in any case, and good luck with that project. Posted by Shadic Okay, that is awesome.. <3 |

Posted by Kyoufu Kawa Thanks, "Why Pascal is Not My Favorite Programming Language" was an interesting read. I didn't know Pascal was so restrictive in its original incarnations. There are certain things I don't like about Pascal, too, such as the inflexible for-loop and lack of macros, but I still like it better than C/C++ or other popular languages. To each their own, I guess. ____________________ http://hukka.ncn.fi |

This, of course, is not any actual layout I ever intend to use in a hack, but I've been messing around with the data and trying to see what I could do. The only Nemo hacks so far have been graphics-only, so this is a step towards something a little more interesting, I hope. I've never done anything like this before, and I only managed to get this far with a lot of broad assumptions, guessing, checking, and blind luck. Finding the level data seems simple enough now, but I can't even imagine how to begin finding something like enemy, item, and key placement. But it's an interesting experiment for me, nonetheless. ____________________ andrew sylvester dot com | retrogaming @ robot vaudeville |

This is pretty cool, Little Nemo was one of my favorite games back in the days. Seeing this pic really hypes me up that one day we'll see an editor for this game one day.
It prolly has the same format like Mega Man, I could be wrong though. ____________________ My Linktree |

I may or may not try to do some kind of tool just to help me out in my own hacking endeavors, but it would have to be a lot of ridiculously-bloated code in something like Visual Basic, since I'm not a programmer.
And yeah, it's more or less the same system as the Mega Man games use (naturally; they're both Capcom games): each level is made up of a series of 32x32 blocks, which are composed of 16x16 blocks, which themselves are made up of four standard 8x8 tiles. ____________________ andrew sylvester dot com | retrogaming @ robot vaudeville |

It's nice to see people editing levels in games that don't get hacked much, even if I've never played the origin--*shot*

Mr. T in a basketball game? Wouldn't the gold be a bit heavy to jump with?

By popular demand...
The final level .. or a part of it. Kamek's room minus autscroll plus a more expansive use of those blocks = fun? ____________________ Want custom overworld music in your SMW hack? Download this. Don't forget to RTFM. |

@ Fire Phoenix : Why are you running? That looked really good. Get back in here and give me some background on this game. I don't even know if that is your hack. I'm not up to date with SMW hacks, so I don't even know what features were new to the scene, if any. The background in the level is very original, and the arch bridge things look great. |

Yeah that's my hack. I just felt like saying *runs.
There's no current demo, though sniff around and you might find some old (or really old) demos. I'm about halfway through the game though. The only new "feature" that I can think of is that Yoshi now uses a different pallete than green so he can be any color I want him to be in any level. Oh and S.N.N., that looks awesome! When are you releasing this game? I could've sworn you'd said it wouldn't be long now... ____________________ |

Posted by S.N.N. How is it the final level? It looks more like 6-7 because I can see a red Yoshi hiding behind a pillar. |

Posted by FirePhoenix0 It was supposed to be a month or two ago, but a certain level asplosed my hack and I had to remake a few chunks of it. The new release date is the end of June (I still have to do the extra levels + a bunch of neat effects and stuff) In the meantime, those curious can view the Wiki I made for it here Posted by fabio You are correct. It is 6-7 .. when I said "it's the final level" I think I said it too literally 6-7 and 6-8 sort of blend into each other, so I just call them a joint final level thing. Yeah. That's it. ____________________ Want custom overworld music in your SMW hack? Download this. Don't forget to RTFM. |

Preview my new Kid Icarus hack. Notice, this is an ASM hack so far. Notice the lava animation, you cannot shoot arrows because you have arrow ammo! Without arrows, you must use the sword. Small hearts now go towards HP (5 hearts = 1HP). You must kill certain enemies to get arrow bundles, which are 10 arrows each. |
