Hi!
I am working on what will be the new hack for Megaman 3. Its name will be Megaman 3 Justiley, acronym of Justin Bailey, since aesthetically will be influenced mainly by Metroid. As always, it pretends to be a tribute to Megaman, reason why the gameplay will not change substantially, nor the mobility of the majority of the enemies. The starting point is that the first 12 scenes have completely different graphics, all squeezing the basic engine of Megaman 3 The current level of progress is 50% I leave some illustrative images. http://megamanhyperion.blogspot.com.uy/ I expect comments. |

Hi!
These are the breakthroughs. I am moving very slowly. But 60% of the scenes are already edited! [imghttps://1.bp.blogspot.com/-D4BkPr42lqo/Wezk8hbLmvI/AAAAAAAABvs/Ab9UARc4PwgnS7bb_0WbWLUFcE8qlfX0gCLcBGAs/s1600/Justiley.png][/img] I await comments. http://megamanhyperion.blogspot.com.uy/ |

Are you using KujaKiller's latest MM3 Improvement Patch?
It is recommended for anyone who hacks Megaman 3. ____________________ I was a prisoner enclosed in the void, were everything might end up just as myself. Posted by JRIVA Could you change your background scenery from gray to brown color ? It would make it fit in more better, the red outlining in the cave background clashes with the black. |

This is really looking good the first 2 screenshots stands out alot.
Although the light blue palette clashes hard with it. See if you can set the sky palette to a vanilla yellow I think it would even it out much better. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/54395107969395210/ |

Yes. I tried.
Before the sky was brown. But I did not like it to be duotone. I appreciate your advice. |

Congratulations on the release! No bugs were found. But I would like to point out Protoman's ending music is not the complete version played.
Also, I would like to know how to change music? I recognized Mega Man V GB Pluto's stage theme on Spark Man stage 2. ____________________ |

Hi.
We use the Capcom Music editor. It's easy, but you must have a lot of patience. The original soundtrack of the Megaman 3 Prometeo was made by KujaKiller. For this hack I add the songs of Cossack, Skullman, Brightman, Centaurman and some other minor. You can use the songs of any Megaman; 3, 4, 5 and 6, as well as other hacks if necessary. When using "long" songs, we had to delete a song. That explains the lack of music at the end. A shame. :-( |

right, there was maybe estimate of 150 bytes or so at the end of the music engine at $30F00 -- it is possible to continue inserting songs until 31FFF but you "cant" because 31000-31FFF is most non-gameplay screens like "Get Weapon" - Stage select, boss selected, password, and some others.
And a normal song is between 400 to 600 bytes. On megaman 3 improvement, this is not an issue at all because of the ROM expansion, simply move the music engine to anywhere else (the new free space), and then you can have way more songs/sounds. So that may come next time |

It really needs to be worked on some more.
1.Invisible blocks in some part of hard man, spark man stage, proto man midway stage. 2.Lack of space of jumping from platform to platform, too short or too far for mega man. 3.Item placements, enemy placement, needle mans stage is a great example of that. 4.The imported music sounds good but you have a variety of music songs to pick from. Needle mans could use dust man's theme, since it's spacey. Its a good hack but I think you should look over anything to make sure everything is setup properly. |
