My problem with IE is that it horribly, evilly, and instantly destroys CSS. IE7 fixes this, but then it has its titlebars all screwed up in some sick imitation of Windows Vista. It's hideous, I tell you.

Security? That's the easy part.
Firefox breaks CSS just as badly as IE sometimes. See my previous board layout for examples of that.

Opera just has "Next" (replaces Forward when a) there's no forward entries and b) it's available, usable by either space at the bottom of a page or left-right rolling gesture)...

In a dir-list type area (anything Opera interprets as "list of images", doing this will cycle through each one from where you start (click one! or it'll start from the first) and move on every time you use space/l-r-roll after that.

Ctrl-S, save, space, etc, up to the last image Much easier than opening thousands of tabs and hoping yu didn't miss any or clicking one, going back, clicking another one...

*brain implosion*

Im still trying to figure that out, curse my small mind. ._.

But if you mean like in a directory like http://www.somewebsite.com/junk/
And its full of images and zips, I use DownThemAll to select all the images or all the zips, or both.

LOL, best mod evar

I still use IE6. I was never fond of the way FF loads pages for some reason; hard to explain. I'm just more familiar with IE6.

But I've got a McAfee firewall so I'm safe, I think

Now that we are on the Firefox discussion bandwagon, what extensions do you use?
If you post a image, post it in jpg format, to make it smaller

Mine.. woo:

If I want my pages to look right in every browser then I have to write two pages: One for IE and one for everything else. Fortunately, I don't care that much. If it's useable in IE, I leave it as-is, and generally throw in a little note about IE's suckiness.

Also, Firefox has extensions = massive win.

Extensions (enabled: 38, disabled: 0):

* Adblock 0.5.3.043
* Add N Edit Cookies 0.2.1.0
* ChatZilla 0.9.77
* CustomizeGoogle 0.55
* DOM Inspector 1.8.0.11
* DownThemAll! 0.9.9.7
* Flashblock 1.5.2
* Forecastfox 0.9.5.2
* FoxClocks 2.0.20
* FxIF 0.2.2
* Gmail Space 0.5.1
* IE Tab 1.3.1.20070126
* InfoLister 0.9f
* InFormEnter 0.5.2.1
* Internote 2.1.1
* MeasureIt 0.3.6
* Menu Editor 1.2.3
* Modify Headers 0.5.4
* Moji 0.8.1
* Moji-En 0.4.1
* Moji-Kanji-En 0.4.2
* MR Tech About:About 2.2
* Nuke Anything 0.2
* Plain Text Links 0.2
* Redirect Remover 2.3
* RefControl 0.8.9
* Resize Search Box 0.0.7
* Show Image 0.4.1
* Sort Extensions and Themes 3.0.3
* Tab Mix Plus 0.3.5.2
* Talkback 1.5.0.11
* TargetKiller 0.4
* Torbutton 1.0.4
* User Agent Switcher 0.6.9
* VideoDownloader 1.1.1
* View Source Chart 2.6
* Web Developer 1.0.2
* WellRounded 0.43

You have to be careful though as conflicting or poorly written extensions can really make it suck.

As for IE...

So what did you use to make that list with links? I used InfoLister but it doesn't make links, unless there's a new version that does.

I use Firefox with no extension at all...
Opera is nice, but it takes a little while to start up here, and it's loaded with useless junk and options (widgets and the likes...), and I'm not too fond of the menu... but it's still good.

Let's see what I have now...

Cache Status (0.7.1)
Tab Counter (1.2)
Talkback (2.0.0.3 Disabled)
Yahoo! Toolbar (1.3.0.20060829) Where'd that come from?

And thanks to this thread, these have been added...

Aging Tabs (0.5.1)
ChatZilla (0.9.78.1)
Download Statusbar (0.9.4.6)
NoScript (1.1.4.6.070317)
PDF Download (0.7.9)
Tab Mix Plus (0.3.5.2)
VideoDownloader (1.1.1)

Almost tripled my extension count...just by being convinced from this thread. That's different.

I don't use any extensions either. I never felt I needed any. A few of the ones mentioned in this thread look like they would be useful to me, but not very many.

I've been using FireFox since last summer and I find it much better then IE (especially since I updated it to 7.0 ). The countless skins and add-ons make it a really great browser.

Wow, I use IE6, too, and I feel perfectly safe with it. O_o I don't know why, but I do. Maybe it's because I got one little virus and the moment I got it, it was destroyed. Now here's the kicker- Norton Anti-Virus destroyed it. Yes, that which I consider most annoying on my MOM'S computer actually WORKS on my laptop. Pop-ups? Only on a VERY few websites. Ones I rarely ever go to, even. Do I simply have a false sense of safety? Is IE6 REALLY safe for me? Or is it.... NORTON actually being a GOOD program for once? Only time will tell.... (And don't tell me to switch browsers- Trust me, it's always ended in a lot of flaming, so to speak. )

You all turned gay?!?!

I use Firefox at home, with AdBlock and All-in-One Gestures as the only extensions I've found that are worth my time at all.

I use IE7 at work, which I find very usable. It helps that are work filter is very, very good at what it does and I get no ad pop-ups.

I don't use too many extensions.

Adblock Plus / Filterset.G Updater
Flashblock
Gmail Notifier
NoScript
ShowIP
Smart Middle Click
Tab Mix Plus

Adblock and NoScript are there for fairly obvious reasons. Flashblock replaces flash files with a button you can click if you want to view them, so I use it instead of just Adblocking flash files in general.

Gmail Notifier.. there are programs I could use, or even other Firefox extensions with more features than this one, but I don't need more features, and I sure as heck don't need more random programs.

ShowIP.. not really sure why I bother keeping it. Not like I use it for anything.

Smart middle click I only use for one site. It makes it so middle-clicking javascript links actually opens the link in a new tab instead of trying to open the javascript command in a new tab.

Tab Mix Plus I'm pretty much lost without. I remember when Firefox 2.0 first came out, and it took like three weeks for a compatible version of Tab Mix Plus to be released. It was terrible.
