This is basically the best and funniest movie I have ever seen. And that is not hyperbole in any way. Everyone who hasn't watched it needs to watch it. Everyone who has watched it needs to watch it again.

Amazing film.

Disagree.

I was pumped for Death Proof and only faintly looking forward to PT. I ended up enjoying them in the opposite fashion.

PT was better than DP for a host of reasons. Neither were really great, but PT still outshone DP.

For starters, PT had a coherent plot that engaged us. DP just was like a half baked plot that ends SO stupidly. The feminine characters were soooo fucking annoying that I was rooting for Stuntman Mike, and I left with a bad taste in my mouth. I especially hated how all of a sudden these characters are like "LET'S KILL HIM!" Like WTF? Psychopath station, now boarding.

the trailers, which everyone is also blabbing about were good, but they don't really make the whole Grindhouse experience worthwhile.

Nothing like making a film look original to the mainstream audience by looking at films made like 30 years ago and taking influence.

Sgraff, no one was calling it original

And Toxic, eh, Death Proof was funny because it went totally opposed to what you expected to get out of it, and it was totally anticlimactic.

I would say Planet Terror was better, though.

But why does it matter? Even if you didn't particularly like them both, you enjoyed the faux trailers and it was still two movies for the price of one.

Didn't say anyone here said that. Saying that there are people out there who do.

I didn't really find it funny to be honest. The dialogue was brutal. The ending wasn't really anti-climatic so much as just bad. The characters were just weak.

And if I didn't like them both...I think that would matter. I wouldn't really want to pay to see a few trailers I can find on youtube in a couple of days. Planet Terror sort of made it worthwhile, and if Death Proof was just the chase scene and didn't involve any of the other bullshit. I mean, let's be serious, Death Proof was two movies only loosely connected.

But you did like one of them, by your own admission. And even if you didn't like the other one, that makes it worth it. I will admit I phrased my statement poorly, though.

Also, I heard they're actually making Machete.

Oh man, that was amazing. Death Proof was a lot different from what I was expecting, but the ending was hilarious.

Great movie(s).

If you..... are thinking... about... not going... to this movie.......... DON'T!

I loved Grindhouse. It's a toss up for me on the two movies, but Kurt Russell was awesome in DP.
