The Channel was a LOT better when it was known as TechTV. I especially liked Call For Help, X-Play (when it was good) and a few others.

The weird thing is on their website they claim to be G4TV, but on TV they advertise as G4. The only things worth watching are Ninja Warrior and X-Play. |

I used to get this channel but recently I haven't been paying for it. A lot of the games I see reviews for I don't even have. |

I used to watch that channel back when it was called ZDTV. Back then though, it had a lot more business oriented programming. Like hour after hour of TechLive and TechTv news, and a show called Silicon Spin with that moron John C. Dvorak. It did have X-Play, though, but it was called Extended Play, and I think it had different hosts.
I mainly watched The Screen Savers back when it was an hour and a half, before it was dumbed down and eventually shortened to an hour. ____________________ "I'd like to confuse bok choy with cabbage." |

Yep. Don't get them mixed up folks. 
ZDTV = TechTV. Though, honestly I thought G4 was enjoyable a few years ago when they were seperate. TechTV had The Screensavors, X-Play, Anime Unleashed (had some great obscure anime's, Betterman, DUAL, and Magical Shopping Arcade Abenaboshi were awesome) and a few other random cool shows I enjoyed, and back then G4 had Judgement Day and a few other good ones (though, they showed re-runs almost nonstop. And regardless of how dumb Tommy Talarico was at times, it was enjoyable to watch). But yeah, G4 itself went downhill when they "merged" with TechTV, and well now they're just worthless and practically a bad SpikeTV remix channel. Cops? Cheaters? Blind date? What the FUCK. |

See, what's funny is, while G4 is slowly becoming more and more like SpikeTV, SpikeTV is also slowly becoming more and more like G4. Soon they will merge and become the single most identity-crisis-suffering network on television. |

I like Star Trek but it needs to stay on Sci-Fi. A channel like G4 should be devoted to games, girls, guns, and gore = G4.

Star Trek has been aired on like every network, ever, same with Generation. And yeah, it just shouldn't have been on there.
Yeah, I forgot about Icons, that was one of G4's best shows, and that reminded me of G4TV.com with Tina and ... Laura? They'd talk about the new big games and have people call in to voice their opinions, then they'd have goofy competitions, but heck it was a good show. If I remember right one of them did most of the writing for Icons and a few other good shows. I wonder what happened to all of them? Remember when they pissed on X-Play's dissembodied voice? 50 voices later they all sucked. But yeah, its pretty much too late now. They've dug themselves an extremely deep hole they'll probably never crawl out of. |
