i'm tired of looking at ugly layouts and Stark and KP's random centered text, so how do I disable one's layout or turn them all off? or is that not implemented? if it isn't, it really should be

I don't think Board 2 has that.
I do wish it would be upgraded though since this:

"We unfortunately had a potential security compromise due to stray database dumps. Please change your password."

I still wonder where the database leak is because I want to log in to all the accounts and change the password on all of them to something randomly generated as a result, just to stop some of this shit.

I don't see how upgrading anything would fix the problem that somebody got their hands on pre-split DB dumps.

Regarding layouts: as before, the answer is "report objectionable ones and we'll remove them"/"shitty layouts are inofficially against the rules, non-shitty ones are inofficially part of the board's appearance so we won't care about letting you block them any more than we will care about letting you block the 'quote' link above posts")...

Especially don't want current active accounts being hacked for instance.

Also that makes good sense, although some layouts might be double sided to the situation, in which a user could easily ask an admin for any improvements.

To my best understanding, the leak had nothing to do with the board software. Various people had access to the server at times and pulled copies of the DB, sometimes with the intention of archiving it while unilaterally declaring a replacement.

still, I don't see how that could be an efficient route, considering you're really the only "active" admin and aren't all that active at that, I just think it'd be more efficient this way.

I also think it was coded into AB 2.5.x, so you could try using code from there.

blackhole89 has actually been more active than usual lately. I think the last while he was just having a break, probably due to real-life things.

People can't manage to be on sites all the time: it's something they do in their spare time and they have real jobs, families, etc.

Blocking all layouts would work well as a feature to save mobile bandwidth, even though page load here is relatively light and I tunnel it through a proxy anyway on 3G.

oh, and in my opinion blocking all layouts should definitely be a thing. Some people don't like looking at a whole bunch of colors everywhere and it's just more convenient than not letting anyone block layouts at all
