What are your controls for your NES emulator? I cant seem to find a comfortable control scheme. I use Z for the A button and X for the B button, with arrow keys being the dpad, but it just doesn't feel right. Maybe I should get used to it? ____________________ A well known Bio-Metal |

Posted by Model FZx Try using X for A and Z for B, Right Shift for Select and Enter for Start. Alternatively use a PS3 controller and map it to the buttons, a lot better that way. ____________________ Jamie Dignam |

Yeah, X=A and Z=B should work fine. I use a keyboard configuration like that when I'm unable to use my PC game controller.
When it comes to emulators, I'll always recommend RetroArch, a multi-OS, multi-system emulator. It emulates almost all of the retro consoles (such as all the consoles in the OP), and it allows the use of video filters/shaders to make your games look nicer. It may take a while to set up, but I think it's worth it |

So you finally got around to posting, heh
I use an unofficial PS3 wireless controller which has a Bluetooth (?) receiver built-in, so it works with PC or PS3 systems. The main difference with it is that it swaps the D-Pad and the Left Stick around so it has the same layout as a gamecube controller generally. Unfortunately it doesn't work with no$gba 2.8b though. ____________________ Jamie Dignam |

I use a bluetooth Dual Shock 4. I tell ya, it's pretty sweet having a wireless controller on a PC. Microsoft is smart to jump on the blutooth bandwagon with their controllers. It's just so much more convenient than a dongle or usb cord.
As for which emulators I use: Gens/GS - Genesis SNES 9X - Super Nintendo visualboy advance - GBA/GB/GBC FCEUXDSP - NES SSF - Version 7 - Sega Saturn (For Castlevania SOTN mostly) EPSXE - Playstation Mame64 - Arcade games. |

Most of the emulators I used for FCEUX and Snes9X/ZSNES I used a Super NES USB controller. I am planning to buy a Sega Genesis USB Controller for Kega Fusion and a couple of PC Engine Fighting Games. The N64 USB Controller doesn't work too well and I don't use any of the N64 Emulators often. |

Posted by Insectduel I'd suggest you buy the controller because the Mega Drive is an amazing console ^^ ____________________ Jamie Dignam |

Posted by cderp4 What firmware version do you have? Also, for iOS users: GBA4iOS 2.1 has been signed since 1st August 2016. You do not need a date trick to use it, and I have tested it on iOS 10 beta 4 on an iPhone 5c and it works as it should. Unfortunately I can't seem to install Snes4iOS even with trying the date trick, it stops initiating the installation if I put the date back, and throws an error any other time. Also, Emu4iOS has been down for several months now, it is safe to assume the site doesn't exist anymore. ____________________ Jamie Dignam |

What controllers do you like for emulation? I bought an OG Xbox controller for emulation purposes, with USB adaptor and the XBCD drivers which are a pain to get working on W10... |
