Does anyone have any of those pirate multicarts - like the ones that have multiple games repeated in 1 and inflated count, the small but really good ones?

Since I have every NES rom ever made (according to the last GoodNES set anyways) I've got them all on ROM, but of course not the carts.

The most notable cart is the 260-in-1, it has 106 games in total (a bloody lot for pirate multicarts - so not far from half of the multicart). The better carts tend to be the ones with less games on them, though.

How they are: they're Famicom carts with a thing attached to the motherboard (like early NES carts actually) so that they work in the US NES. Or something like that.

Value: They can usually go for about £15 on eBay UK, so they're easy to pick up. However the US eBay don't like these carts and try to take them off the site.

I've always enjoyed playing multi-carts. I have physical copies of the Supervision 110-in-1 and Supervision 115-in-1 multi-carts. I remember that someone who came to my parents' house while I was younger brought the 260-in-1 multi-cart with them. I wanted to keep it when it was time for them to go. Ha ha. I never did see a physical copy of it again.

I don't think either Supervision 110 or 115 in 1 carts are dumped yet, actually. What unique games do they contain on them?

And I find multicarts can be a way of finding new games, although normally they're wrongly labelled.

If you downloaded the GoodNES v3.23b collection, they should be in there. They just don't have "Supervision" in their names. "110-in-1 [p1][!]" and "115-in-1 [p1][!]" are how I've always had them.

Generally, the games featured on them are the same common games that are found on most of the multi-carts.

True. After many years of playing it on my copy of the actual physical multi-cart, I didn't know that "Ninja Fight" was really called "Ikki" until I found information about the multi-carts on a very handy wiki.

Oh, and yeah I have the GoodNES 3.23b collection. Loads of interesting games in there.

Where's this wiki? I'd like to hear about it.

BootlegGames Wiki:
http://bootleggames.wikia.com/wiki/BootlegGames_Wiki

There's a section for multi-carts that lists the games on them.

I know of that site.

Of course, if you're going to do a bootleg games wiki, you must include the most common form of bootleg games.

I never saw one multicult in physical form before. Wish I had. They sound like they would be great collectors items.

I believe they are. I greatly appreciate mine, and I would never sell them for anything.

Honestly, I never even really understood how people can and do sell their games, likely for a fraction of the price that they paid for them, only to then post on an online message board years later, "Boy, I sure do wish that I still had that game".
Sure, they might need a couple quick bucks on the spot, but is it really worth it unless you know with absolute certainty that you can part with those games forever and not think twice about it? There are better ways to make money and keep what you've already bought with other money spent, at least as I see it.

I treasure each and every single one of my own games. Even if they might not all be in the best possible condition, each console and game holds countless memories, and the fact that I even had them in the first place is reason enough that I would never get rid of them.

Back when I grew up, it was already becoming more difficult to find any used games (that I was actually interested in, anyway, like NES) available where I live. I didn't have the luxury to part with what I already had from it already being owned by the family and then passed on to me.

Nowadays, I see used retro games generally everywhere I go during my travels. I don't recall seeing any other physical multi-carts to date, though. However, there's also a convenience that I didn't have available while growing up when and where I did in the form of online shopping nowadays too, which would likely make it easier to be able to manage discovering one.

Those carts sure are rare. It's even better when they are one of those with a rare game or non-NROM game on them, too.
Glad you treasure each of your games, something I seem to not do because I haven't played anything in such a long time...
