This been on my mind for a while now, but first I wanna get feedback from the board. I wanna make a banner for the board, I'll draw the banner but someone will have to ink & color it, my ink & color skills are not that great.

Posted by Googie Well since I use Paint shop pro by coral, I'll do some the coloring part. However someone else may need to do inking, is the image going to be in .png or .bmp for editing ? I find both of these easy to work, before exporting the final result to jpg, even though I hate me a jpg file. :/ |

go with PNG, for something like a board banner it's the best format
also Terminator whatever, JPEG isn't as crap as you think, there's a reason it's used a lot for photographs |

and yeah, getting a good quality out of a JPEG board banner would require setting the quality so high it'd defeat the point |

Okay, I made a few logos. You guys will vote which one is your favorite, my favorite is number 4. I know these are just raw images, I'm sure whoever is gonna ink & color in the logo that gets picked the most will make it look better, a funky background would look sweet too.

Number 4, definitely.

Posted by Googie Well the way you draw your banners, its going to be long. 
With the current banner black made, we might try to match its size and give it a unique theme that will last the next 4 years. I'll upload the banner I modified, I gave it a bevel back drop and tried to apply a metal chrome color in the back drop. Edit: here is the banner for now, I think I screwed up with chrome coloring. However with the bevel effect and the way it looks I think it would look good. Problem is I don't know what to color it, I wanted to take some screen shots from the most recent hacks in the past 4 years. Place them inside of the font logo, or give it a aged 1940's paper coloring. I'll leave it that either googie can pick it up and pluck in some coloring or design or let someone else add to it. If need to remove the chrome, let me and I'll do it over.

If they get colour on them, I recommend it's adjusted for certain themes so that they look better. ____________________ Jamie Dignam |

Posted by Termingamer2-JD Thats googie's whole point, he said ink them and color it, he left the task to us. The reason why he can't do it, imagined being in school to repair air units. Bearing with traffic, road rage, famlly, friends and other stupid things the world has to offer. If you have a painting app, go ahead and give it a try, I won't color it because I have no idea. Besides that everyone these days are too damn picky and tender hearted about others opinions on many different matters. |
