MGS4.
That's pretty much it for me. It was made pretty clear in a recent interview with Kojima MGS4 will probably not appear on the 360 (debunking the rumors). STILL, I wouldn't be surprised if it happens.  |

Posted by KP9000 Aren't square announced there may be a version of the lastest FF game on the Xbox360. After such claim, I doubt square will support the PS3 as much as they supported the PS1 and PS2 |

Posted by KP9000 1) Could live without it.. 2) Meh.. 3) Hahaha.. cause we need more remakes and rehashes of the FF series.. 4) Last I heard it isn't even final that it'll be an exclusive.. XIII and MGS4 are about the only noteworthy games I have heard of for the PS3, and neither of them are out yet and probably won't be awhile.. I can't really see any good reason to spent $600+ on a console that only has two games I want, neither of which are even released yet.. Oh, and I'm not bashing.. I've got nothing against the PS3 itself, I just don't see any good reason at all to buy one right now, and I'm not seeing much on the horizon that'll change my opinion either.. |

Since all of the "exclusives" are jumping ship, I fully expect FF13 and MGS4 (and a possible FF7 remake) to do the same.
That leaves the only interesting PS3 exclusive as... Gundam Musou. Let's hope that jumps ship as well. |

Number one is to be able to play the dozens upon dozens of must-have PS2 games once the supply of those systems dries up. Anyone else recall that Xbox production ended a year before its final game, and like 6 or so for the Dreamcast in Japan? Exactly. ____________________  |

If, hypothetically, I were to win a PS3 in one of the many contests that just can't seem to get rid of them fast enough, I would 'upgrade' the firmware to support modern video formats and use it as a media center.
I have over 300 GB of digital videos, and a 42-inch plasma TV that I can't watch them on. But, I wouldn't pay for a PS3 just for that, not when I could just get a video card with S-Video output for much, much cheaper. I wouldn't have any other use for a PS3, though. |

Eh, right now, there's really only one reason for buying the thing, and that is if you want a Bluray player (not just a HD-player, Bluray specifically), and you want it now.
Other than that, it really doesn't have much to offer. Sure, Resistance and Motostorm are fun, but they're only two games, and we're talking about a 1000$ console here. Plus, Gears of War and Excitetruck are better games anyway. |

After getting the HD DVD and paying for Xbox live and all that other stuff, the PS3 is only marginally more expensive. Therefore I would rather play PS3 versions of games that are offered on both.
Like: -Army of Two -Devil May Cry 4 -GTA IV -Assassin's Creed As for exclusives, the following look cool to me; -Ratchet and Clank -MGS 4 -FF 13 -Warhawk -Virtua Fighter 5 -Killzone 2 -Heavenly Sword -Ninja Gaiden Sigma -White Knight Story That's all I can currently think of. I can honestly wait. I mean I am planning on getting an hdtv first and possibly a ps3 within this year(fall?). |

Plus the red ring of death is still an issue that hasn't been fully fixed and you don't have any stupid point system with the online service. You just pick the amount of money you want to spend. It's not restricted to any intervals. |

Buying one *now*? There's no reason to buy one now. There's really nothing out that screams "must-buy" and there's not too many games either.
Give it some time. Maybe by Christmas there'll be a little price drop and a few exclusives worth playing. |
