What I dont get about Zelda is what happens after he saves the world? I mean he has at least two girls that are in love with him in almost every game so what happens afterwards? I mean does he marry one of them or maybe both of them (he could be a poligamist jk). But seriously what do you think happens??????

Nintendo leave it so in order to leave it up to the public's imagination. If he marries, then he does. If lives a long life in his town, then he does. If he gets it on with Zelda, well then he does. The list can go on.

Like a true epic story, he leaves in search of more of life. Heroes are rarely portrayed as the kind that can settle down.

Na Link settles down but his obsession with his glory days results in him being a lone bar fly....He's the dude you find down the pub that teaches you how to play bar billiards and smokes a crap load of marajuana - there's a reason his favourite colour is green).

I imagine a threesome with the girls who are in love with him. ^^;

Just kidding. Of course it´s deeper than that. He probably enjoys the peace and calmness afterwards until he gets the mood for adventuring back.

When was Link ever in the mood for adventuring? He is always thrown into it.

Link to the past - woken up in bed by a voice in his head who tells him to help her!

Ocarina of time - An old tree tells him he is dying and the world needs Link to save them all.

Link's awakening - Link is stranded on an island having to find a way to escape.

The original Zelda sees him dropped in the middle of a valley with only a cave and an old geezer who hands him a sword as a clue to what he needs to do to get home.

I agree Link needs a rest after fate screwing him over as much as it does. But a question just popped into my head...When has a Zelda game actually referred to him as a guy? Link is possibly one of the most sexless characters ever.

You're right. Link's reason for adventuring suck. A tree tells him to save the world. Maybe the marijuana a few posts back has seriously affected him or somthing.

Also, Ocarina of Time said he was a boy in the intro scene. He was referred to as a fairy boy.

(Just thought of this as I type, does that reference mean Link is gay? Fairy is a slur against gays.)

I always wanted to know, why isn't it called The Legend of Link? I wonder how many videogame newbies thought the main character in green with the sword was named "Zelda"...I know my mom did when we first got Zelda 1.

Pfft, having to work for money? Just smack into a tree, lift up a rock, chop a bush etc and there's like 5 rupees right there. Fall in a hole and hey there's a chest with 300.

Remember when the fish girl has a crush on him?

...How the fuck does that even work? She seems more like the egg-laying type.

What happens when Link finishes his war against evil?

Of course, he becomes a bum and raves about "The good ol days" when you could "Find a red rupee in a pot" but people just ignore him, or point and laugh.

Yeah, imagine if that worked in real life. Cut down the bushes in the front yard and find all kinds of money, hearts that magically heal any cuts you may have, and so on. People would no longer procrastinate in mowing the lawn. (I love apartment living, no lawn to mow or driveway to shovel...)

Yeah, really.

Just because you love someone doesn't mean you have to be able to make babies with them.
