You're right, my bad. I didn't realize it was the same in the original game. I suppose it might be something worth fixing for a potential future update.

kuja killer, is there any way I can contact you to ask about how the physics of this game work? There's no PM system that I can see, and the general hacking thread seems to be dead.

Hi there. First, sorry i didnt reply to your post before in the general mm hacking thread. I did see it before, but that's really hard for me to answer. Because i do not have any ASM files or anything of the like, for megaman 3. Except for my mm3 romhack Megaman Odyssey. I do know everything there is to know about mm3 with all the years I spent with it.

I dont really know how to respond about the physics, as i have nothing to show for it in terms of ASM files or dis-assemblies.
I obviously can edit anything, but one thing i dont ever touch is "hit detection" like how megaman and objects work with ground/walls/ceilings because it's way too complex for me to understand. And one of the very FEW things i've not ever touched in Megaman 3.

I can tell you where to find things in the ROM and all that stuff, but i dont really know how to just explain the physics, if that makes sense.

And there is a Private Messages here on the forum, you can click my profile and find the link at bottom of the page so we can talk.

I just uploaded version 3.0 to romhacking.net
The main change is to add this new Famitracker sound engine to the base mm3 improve patch, so people may import songs that was made in the Famitracker program, to their romhacks.

Here is the changelog:

found a recent problem with the 3.0 version.

pressing START to bring up the weapons/items screen and then pressing SELECT afterwards does something weird (see my recent comment on the RHDN forum).
I had to press START twice to clear up the "weird" glitch and close the weapons/items menu.

shouldn't the SELECT button be used to quickly switch special weapons while in a normal game and "not" on the weapons/items screen when pressing START? the SELECT button should only be functional when not viewing the weapons/items screen

edit 7/17 - whoopsie; my mistake. it turned out to be a custom color palette config problem in FCEUX.
disabled either Custom Palette and/or turned off the NTSC Color Emulation option in FCEUX Palette dialog box and things work as expected in v3.0 of Megaman3 Improvement. I kinda forgot I had a custom palette option enabled for a vastly different game and seemed to have caused some minor color or palette problems in MM3 improvement.

pressing START & SELECT to bring up the Exit dialog box worked correctly in Nestopia, PuNES, MESEN as well as FCEUX when not using certain custom palette schemes.

ahhh i see okay. yea i replied to your post on romhacking.net first before i saw it here, and your edit about the palette option thing.

By the way i dont ever use higher than fceux 2.15 for anything because i really hate alot of the changes people did starting from 2.20 and above.
