SMB2J Red Piranha Plant Normal
https://youtu.be/RsHPK0QCNeg

hi infidelity. I did get a chance to play the latest version of the SMAS NES 2016 hack.
The Red Piranha Plants seem to work like normal in that video you posted but only from Worlds 5 to 8. However, when I play Worlds A thru D (starting from world A-1), the Red Piranha Plants behave like the Green ones - they pop up and go down slowly; only the Upside Down Red Piranhas in Worlds A to D behave normally.

I'm pretty sure in the original SMB2J game for Famicom, the red piranha plants popup and go down fast in worlds A thru D.

I watched YouTube videos of the red ones that go up and down from the ground tubes in the A-# worlds, and the red ones go slow in the famicom version, and the upside down ones go fast in and out.

Tonight I'll be releasing yet another revision, but it's a very important one. I'll explain and submit the patch when I'm home.

Thanks for putting up another update to this. Has the patch been submitted yet by chance?

Not sure I understand your question, heh. I have the patch in the acmlm uploader, if that's what your asking.

"Luigi's skidding physics have been restored, (thanks to ShaneM for informing me) and the red piranha plants & green spring boards have been restored, (again, thanks to ShaneM for informing me)"

Do you have the normal NES file for this corrected and most accurate version of the original Super Mario Bros 2 only released in Japan?

Also has anyone thought of making Super Mario All Stars onto an NES cart for collectors?

I have the pictures for the Super Mario All stars NES label and for the box also. I dont know if I placed the title part of the label properly so if someone could fix it that would help.

But before we do that, we would still need to add Hummer Team's Super Mario World.
I mean, if someone is going to tell me how to convert a NES game from one mapper to another, then I could give this a shot. After all, I do have the extremely rare final version of Hummer Team's Super Mario World.

Mario world by itself is over 700kb. It will not fit into my project. The mmc5 maxes out at 1024kb for both prg, and chr, brining the total size of the rom to 2mb. I had no plans or desire to incorporate that pirate hack. However, people are more than welcome to try, but I'm just giving a heads up that it will not work, simply not enough prg-rom left after all my installations.

also, a new version will be released again, i discovered an error with my deletion asm for the 4 save files for the 4 games, it's fixed now, I just need to get around to uploading the new patch.

So there is no way to put this onto an NES cart? Or would it just cost more to have it done? I dont mind paying extra to have it made. I just need to know if it can in fact be done. Please let me know if it is possible and if it is possible please tell me what I have to buy to have someone put this onto an NES cart for me. Thank you.

I am not worried about the Super Mario World rom but I do want the Super Mario All Stars rom put onto an NES cart.

My all Stars rom works on Famicom and Nintendo.

You need an mmc5 board that supports 32kb's of sram, you need a 1mb chip for prg-rom, and another 1mb chip for chr-rom.

As to the actual flashing of the chips, soldering, etc, that's out of my hands, I have no idea how it's done. But there have been plenty of people who taken my all-stars project, and created cartridges of it.

That is amazing! I cannot wait until you have the next patch out so I can pay to have this put onto an NES cart. Do you have your version of Super Mario Bros 2J seperately? Because the version that I have is not up to date like the one you did with all the fixes you have done to it. I will pay you for whatever you need to be compensated for. You are without a doubt one of the greats if not the greatest in the rom hacking world.

heh, I'm farrrrrrrrr from the greatest, but I appreciate your kind remarks. :-) I'm waiting on results from someone with my debug version of Mario 3's irq. That's the only thing left before I submit my new patch.

Super Mario Bros. 2 Japan, I do not have separate. I did alot of work on this game specifically for the MMC5. I utilize the ExRAM $5C00-$5FFF for various functions to work.

Well in my eyes you are my hero because I am trying to get this NES cart made for my young children so they can have the best real gaming experience just as I did growing up.

I also need to know if any Super Mario Bros 3 rom works with no problems when applying your patch to it or is there a certain one that is needed?

Thanks again for all of your work! And let me know if you need anything. :>

Alright, thank you. I noticed in the intro after the background turns from blue to black and the Koopa Kids come out the music goes off beat. I dont know if you noticed that or can fix it but I noticed it a few days ago.
