It's awesome.
And hell, I probably find out way more uses for it soon. I wish I gotten it earlier. I feel so restricted with one monitor now. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Whoa! Thanks to this Ailure, I discovered you can shorten quick links in MFF (toolbar at the top).
Thanks! (yeah, sue me for being lazy enough to not really mess around with MFF). I've got a dual monitor setup by the way. Though, I sometimes get a little wacked out, since my regular desktop monitor is normal, while my laptop screen is widescreen. Its seriously kind of weird at times. |

Heh, mine consists of a LCD and a old CRT screen from my old setup.
They're about the same size screen-wise, but the CRT is much fatter and hardly as sharp as the LCD. x_X I mostly put stuff there that wouldn't hurt by slight fuzziness. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Heh, one thing I was curious over is how fullscreen mode works.
It actually works quite nice, expect that The sims 2 tends to minimize itself when it goes fullscreen. FCE ultra doesn't let the mouse pointer get to the other screen at all if it's on the screen that goes full screen, but that might be a quirkness of the mouse pointer. And still, the quirks doesn't annoy me too much as I tend to use the other screen for keeping track of conversations with others for now. Funny though, my CRT supports much higher resolutions than my LCD but... it would just be harder to see at higher resolutions. :/ And can be a bit confusing if they're not the same height in pixels. ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

Using two computers is more fun though. |

Posted by SamuraiXNot if one computer beats two of them. I did that with my old computer. I used to have my laptop beside my desktop computer. But that laptop is a bit quircky, and it's screen is slightly smaller than this CRT, even if it's sharper so... ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I'm going to wait until I move my PC into my room before I try this. I have a monitor that is not being used so eh, wouldn't hurt to try.

Posted by in.deathseyesBuy another monitor and hook it up, if it is plug-n-play you should be at least started on the right track. ____________________ |

Well, most computer tends to have two monitors outputs nowdays. Even my cheap laptop I got from college have one. Although in the case of laptops, it's probably mostly used for projectors.
I just plugged in my monitor, and restarted the computer. If I didn't restart the computer, my computer would only clone the image... which looks kinda lame having the same image on both monitors. (but useful for plugging into projectors for presentation I guess) ____________________ AIM: gamefreak1337, MSN: Emil_sim@spray.se, XMPP: ailure@xmpp.kafuka.org

I need to get a dual-monitor setup going at my place, I have a dual-monitor set up at work and it's sweet tits... works wonders for web dev having one monitor with browser and the other with the source code.

That is one huge resolution. I remember a friend of mine having 1280 x 1024, but this is just mindless! ____________________ |

Posted by Raccoon Sam ; My monitor runs at 1920x1200. I used to run multi-screen when I had my old laptop, but now I've got a desktop with a huge screen there's no point. |
