Gridattack and Stifu chatting about a zsnes bug reminded me. When testing music I'd suggest bsnes or a real snes and not using zsnes. zsnes can sound quite different. |

Posted by dirtbag Snes9x current versiob will do as well, yes you are correct to assume that zsnes is inaccurate in some games relating to sound. |

Thanks for the suggestions. Testing multiple ways is a good idea. I haven't been using headers in my music to this point, but I should probably go back and add them since I want to export my hack to a cart someday. I might have to invest in a flash cart so that I can test on a real system too before I waste a real one.
And I haven't given up on trying to find a solution to the last lap tempo issue. I'm just dong massive amounts of research trying to educate myself on it. I've got zero experience with how coding and all that works. Not many good resources on it out there that can help me understand, as far as spc is concerned anyways... |

I get to the part where I use SMK to insert the .txt.bin file into my rom and I get the error "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."
I have no idea how to fix this. Googling the error gaves me a whole lot of dead ends. Help? |

Posted by BLaBrake I found that and it didn't help me any. However, I was able to solve my own problem. Once I have a bin file generated by NSPC.exe I can import it manually using Epic Edit instead of SMK.exe. Epic Edit saves my ass once again. |

Funny to read these doubts from people who nowadays are masters in the art of SMK hacking.
I'm still skating when it comes to song editing. I really want to learn, but I've seen that it requires some knowledge that I still don't have. |
