I wish TEK hadn't shut down. It was quite a good community. But that led me to become more active on the board instead of posting once in a great while like I used to. ____________________

I believe Banedon was pretty fed up with the place...? Chev and a few others too maybe, but I could be speaking out of my ass here.
Honestly I myself enjoyed TEK Hacks when it was around. There was a time when I liked it even more than CGC (well that place just didn't seem very lively after Super Mario Bros 3. Challenge, or something) and DESnet. I thought there were a lot of great people at TEK Hacks, but sadly hardly any of them seemed to migrate here or too other places that I know of. Occasionally, like once every 5 months or something I'll talk to DxEdge, if you remember him. He was pretty cool, just wish he wouldn't disappear all the time. Other than that I haven't really stayed in touch with people from TEK, but I'm not going to lie, I still have a friends category for TEK for AIM. 
The only thing I didn't like about TEK were the sideboards and all that. There had to have been like 200 some forums, and it was just so cluttered. And wow, what was there like 100+ staff members? I remember solid tbone (that was his name right?) sometimes couldn't even tell when people were staff or not ... Man. The days when I was into rom hacking. |

Cheveyo's still around (Thexder Blademoon or some shit, damn his names) but a little fed up with bullshit... Banedon was ticked on the 3rd versoin but came back... ____________________ I dealt with it. |

Doesn't really matter. TEK kind of ruined itself if you ask me. Just way too cluttered and unorganized, but it was fun while it lasted. Chev, he's a FM at Xeogaming, so yeah. |

the best part about tekhacks was the castlevania corner.
they shouldn't have shut it down. man i had a lot of fun spamming tekhacks when they did that. |

Yeah, TEK. It did have way too many staff, I think the place collapsed from the constant bickering and such (yeah, I was part of that with my "OMG MICRO$OFT $UCK$"). It was cool for a while though.
Sorry about my emo-ness yesterday, people. Everything went wrong at once...I procrastinated on my essay because I couldn't think of a topic, and yesterday it was basically do or die, and everything has to go wrong. I forgot my backpack and had to go back and was late to my Haskell midterm, then I was late for work, then I got totally stumped on the latest Haskell homework (it's a very...unusual programming language) and my prob & stat homework, then I forget to pick up my exam, then two things on my bike break at the same time rendering it unrideable, then I can only fix one of them without going to a bike shop, and it's gonna frickin SNOW today. Snow in April is evil. And now I realize I forgot to study for my vocabulary test today. |

I guess I'm old school too, lesse...I used to lurk Acmlm's in the summer of 2003 but didn't register until October of 2003. When that board got wiped back in the days, there's no record of me being there. I also used to lurk TEK in those days too, but didn't register until March of 2004. I also used to lurk Dragoneye Studios and Challenge Games in 2003, but I registered at DES in 2004 when those fellas were pulling the plug.
One of the last posts in TEK when I was staff there (I didn't mod shit, mind you) I came up with an idea for this game. The idea was to rename it "Resident Evil" and put Jill & Chris into the game. But no spriters offered to help out. I woulda hack a level a day if that hack woulda went full steam. I do remember seeing Tony (Solid T-Bone) registered at the other Acmlm Board before we split up, but he didn't post (Unless it wasn't him) Wow, I woulda never thought I'd still be ROM Hacking to this day. If it wasn't for an old job I used to have I woulda never knew about the scene. ____________________ My Linktree |

I guess I've been around longer than I thought (profile says 6/2/02). I don't really consider myself an oldbie though. I was extremely inactive for most of that, and when I was around, I didn't post much. I was something of a professional lurker.
On a semi-related note, you ever get that feeling when you come across something you said a long time ago? The one that makes you say, "God, I was such a noob then!"? Ah TEK was always good...bit mixed at times though. One minute it was full of members the next they all disappeared...then they all returned again.
