whenver i go to the start menu in Windows XP Sp3 but when i click on Internet Internet Explorer it gives me this error:
Access is denied.
Internet
The item you selected is unavalible. it might have been moved, renamed, or removed. Do you want to remove it from the list?''
I clicked no how can i solve my problem.

Try right clicking on it and selecting "Properties." Then tell me what you get.

I right clicked it and selected properties which tab should i go to to get rid of the error.

I just want the shortcut location. Do a screengrab if you can. The shortcut should point to wherever IE is located. You said it was fine in the Start menu, just not on the desktop.
The "Shortcut" tab will tell you where the location is at.

I hope this helps somewhat.

The desktop shourtcut one works but the start menu dosen't.

If it's possible in XP (I can't remember, and I'm not making a new virtual computer just to check it out), it still flies. I've spent too much time in Win7 so I cannot remember.

Screenshot the error and bring it here so we can see whats going on.
What I highlighted in your quote isn't making enough sense.
Are you denied from using internet explorer or for that matter are you the administrator ?
