Oh, it's just that we saw an AB-Guest arrive in #kafuka the other day. Apparently he found this board's IRC page. He was able to enter #acmlm by guessing the key, but got kickbanned out of it, according to what he said. He then chose the server's most populated channel...

Oh well, even if this board isn't very active, it's always nice to take care of users enough to not send them into locked or inexistent places. That's pretty much why I decided to report this issue I guess. And by posting I'm making sure it doesn't get lost like it could happen on IRC

Sorry kid, but the main administrator locked that feature over a year ago.
They had a good reason to do this incase any legal issues, major problems came up with such said users to give to proper authoritys if necessary.

As a public service information, the quoted post is complete bullshit. I'm not even aware of a jurisdiction where forum administrators would have such a responsibility, and it eludes me what animal species's rear end this assertion was pulled out of.

Normal users are technically not supposed to be able to delete their posts at all. I don't know where you would get a "need to log in" message from, but could you please tell me the exact thing you are trying to do?

What I was trying to do was delete a personal message. I clicked on the "x" to the left, and it said that I needed to log in to do that.

The irc applet managed to produce no less than 4 (four) "this java applet is secure, are you sure you want to run it" before I misread one of them and accidentally blocked it.

Just thought you should know.
