Now if I'm not mistaken this is actually a topic that has been brought up once before, and that is the removal of the intro scene where Peach is abducted, and instead of trying to revive an old thread I thought I would start a new one.

Now for quite some time i have been looking for an engine to build a snes game upon, the criteria of which i judged a good engine was that:

1. The game should have tools which can modify as much as possible.

2. The game should be versatile, 'thus being able to handle the most tasks which i throw at it.

I finally settled for SMRPG thanks to its multitude of features and the feature-rich Lazy Shell.
However in this purpose having a Mario intro right at the start of the game is quite the bother.


The purpose of this thread is to create a modified rom which bares the engine without these disruptive chunks of code, to use for snes developers, starting at removing or bypassing the hardcoded kidnapping scene in the intro.

I myself have no idea have to start however, since i am fairly new to the SMRPG modding scene, and therefore ask you with more experience to help.

OK, because of numerous requests I will try to add a feature in the next version of Lazy Shell to disable the garden intro.
