Okay, so since a month or so, school has been going bad for me. I have SO much homework! It really turns me off!
Now, just yesterday, I now have to get driven to school! Sucks, right. Now I can't sit in the bus with Jacob. School is a TORTURE!!! School makes me feel like my whole life is stupid! Everybody hates me, I have to get driven to school, I want school out of my life! Is my whole life, future, and everything ruined?! Please tell me how I can end this madness! Do your best. It's ok to vent your frustrations here - but if you spend all your energy resisting the challenges at school, that is only going to make it harder. I understand there are plenty of things to hate about school - but every moment you spend thinking to yourself "god this sucks I wish I could just quit and never do it again" you are making yourself hate it even more. So try not to dwell on how much it sucks - if you have time to dwell on it, you have time to read or work on a hobby and that's a much better use of your energy. My advice: Just do your best. Nobody can expect any more than that out of you. If you think that you are going to fail even if you are doing your best, GET HELP. Talk to your teachers and say "Hey, I'm trying really hard but I guess I'm just not getting it - what can I do?" Your teachers, if you sincerely ask them to help, will probably have some ideas for you. The other important thing for you to do (besides academics and homework) is to make more friends - that will give you something to look forward to at school. Find things that you have in common with other people in your class. Talk to them about those things. Why do you think everyone hates you? Do you get teased and bullied? I have some advice for dealing with bullies if you need it. |

The reason I hate school is because it is full of immature wierdos. Like that first grader in the bus who assaulted me the a few weeks ago. (and I had to hit his head on the window for him to stop) There is also this horrible girl named Anosha who is almost 48% of the reason I hate school! What the hell am I supposed to do, put a sign that says "just like in Alice in Wonderland: Tweedledee/tweedledum" on her back.
Another reason I hate it is because of all the busy work. It is SO hard! Is school easy? It is if you are a Kindergartener!!! I am not little anymore! School is HORRIBLE if you get to be me!!! ____________________ I like trains... |

All the work is worth it in the end. Like English for example gives you skill to read some pretty cool books that require a lot of knowledge to understand. Science gets pretty cool in the later grades. History has some great true stories. And math uh... I really never cared for it alone much. ____________________ -Ninjablooper  |

You need money to pay a bill, and a job to get money, and education to get a job, and scholl to get education. However, a lot of things learned in school are abstract (like half the math are abstract functions, that really dont help you in any way). But there are also some usefull things (how would I talk to you now without english lessons). There are actually two problems in scholl: learning/homework/classes and relations/bully problem. Both become more intense in high scholl. With some effort every person is capable of learning any subject for an E or a D grade. I never had an F as a final grade, ever. Otherwise its summer school, which is the actual torture. Regarding the relations. Different people mean different styles. Someone is going to hate you, someone not. I personally only used verbal or other defensive methods (like poking) rather than the real thing, just to make my point. If the thing escalated, I would alert the teachers to "stop that dumbass bully from being a dick to everyone for his own delight". College was somehow better for me, since you are somewhat on your own to do the studying. Anyways, fight your way through scholl, and do some romhacking in your free time to ease your wounds. |

School will always be a pain in the ass, whether it be the work or the people around you causing stress and bullshit. I went to school till 8th grade then switched to homeschooling cause the stress was making my medical condition worse [heart problems] I don't recommend homeschooling cause the social environment is helpful to help build oneself. My advice here is to try not to let the bullies get to you, if they see you aren't paying attention they'll learn to stop otherwise they will end up getting in trouble. Retorting and retaliating back will only make them come back harder on you [I would know :\] So just ignore them, focus on your school work as the time will go by fast. A Hobby helps pass the time like Rom hacking. It helps keep the mind focused too. I've been through it all pretty much so if you need help don't hesitate ask. |

Hated school at 16/17, it gets much better. 22 now and never have to think about school again! You'll be fine buddy. Just stick it out. |

Try to study so much, ignore the bullies or people that you dont like, make friends.
You have to maintain a balance between the study and friends, I mean, have good notes and friends. For example: I have many friends but im disapproving 5 or 6 subjects xD, that then I have to approve on December, or in February. Always I leave the study a day before that I have the exam xd. If i approve the subjects leaving at least 2 I pass the year, if not I disapprove and repeat the year xd. Its a different educational system.. When the time comes, the school won't look like a hell from that you think. Just progress and the time will reward you! To be honest, I really only skimmed through the thread pretty quickly.
Why is it that you have to be driven to school now, rather than riding the bus? If it's basically because the house is outside bus limits or whatever now, then yeah, I can feel a bit of pity for you, it truly stinks to miss out on one of the few good things left. However, if it's cause you got in a fight or something, then I truly wouldn't feel much pity at all. Why? Cause it should have been obvious that causing trouble there would result in that type of consequence. As for hating the school because of homework, it's a pretty dumb reason honestly. Everyone hates homework (Unless you're that one kid who reminds the teacher about it). Just deal with it for the time being. It'll get a lot better later on in the years (What grade are you in, anyways? Note: This is advice coming from a 10th grade student). And for the last point, hating it because of the people ("weirdos"). Yes, this I can definitely relate to. I recently moved from the perfect school over to one that's full of overly religious rednecks who only talk about drugs and who recently got pregnant (And this is only a New Hampshire public, non-religion school mind you). I absolutely despise this place, and I only have one friend here (Who is actually a year below me). That said, I have only had one absence since I've started going here (Ironically, that absence was today), and that was only because I was deathly sick. No matter what, I put up with this torturous school. Not because of that one friend, who I only talk to once every other day due to the "Green/White Day" system, but because I want to succeed in life. That alone helps me put up with this horrible school. With that all said, I can't really tell much of anything else that wasn't already mentioned, but I do wish you luck here and hope things do get better, Nya~. :3 EDIT:: Editing out my layout because weird problem :< |
