It's been a while since I made a thread, but seriously I'm curious. How is everybody's summer so far, let's talk about how we're spending it. I'll get the ball rollin'...

I'm spending my summer promoting my cartoons, a little rom hacking here & there, I'm also trying my best to go out more, god knows I need it. Oh yeah & I've been trying to get motivated to draw, I got the ideas in my head they just need to come out in paper...

Okay it's your turn...

Oh yes, hacking and finishing some books I've been reading.

Reading, working, generally killing time until I can move to a place that is more than 15 square feet. It's hard to play DDR, and I miss my art supplies and my cat.

I also have the most bizarre sunburn right now. It's only a few inches near my collarbone I missed with the sunblock, but holy fuck, it is as bad as when I burnt my arm on the grill. Fun fact: I compared my skin with an albino dude I sat next to on the bus and mine was paler. A product of Russian/Irish ancestry no doubt.

I've done some fun things, lots of festivals in the area, went to a safari reserve up north (cheetahs like catnip and sort of meow, how about that) and visited my family.

Otherwise it's just same shit different day, I don't like the heat very much and the part of the city I live in is a shithole.

Your location said "canada", how hot is it over there man ?
I swear I don't know wtf is up with this years weather but over here on south eastern usa most of us have felt midway upper 100's.

I don't know what its like to have sun burn as a white guy, but last time I got burned, when I was about 12-13 years old.
Sitten on the beach all damn day asleep oceanside saint augustine wind and water, pinapple collada without the rum... =^=

Excuse my flashback... but my nose peeled a little.
Nothing to damaging at all and healed within 1 week upon going back to school.

See if this might help you out, if your burn gets to be abit to painfull visit the emergency room clinic at the hospital.
According to the Mayo Clinic, putting ice on a burn can cause frostbite and damage the skin. For better results, try running cool water over the area and taking a pain reliever. Then cover the area with gauze but no ointment. Most minor burns heal without further treatment, the clinic says.

The hottest day we had this far was 45 degrees celsius, which is 113 to Americans. My city is usually hotter than surrounding areas due to smog. We had a warm winter too, not that I minded, but it really screwed over the communities way up north that depend on ice roads for shipping food and equipment.

I've never been to the southeast US but I know the odd weather can cause tropical storms and hurricanes in that area. I have family down there though, they moved cause they were sick of the bad winters. A pina colada sounds good right now

The burn is starting to heal, it's kind of disgusting but not worth going to emergency over. I swear I will never understand people who go sun tanning... Burns, wrinkles and skin cancer, no thanks

I'd say my summer has been fairly decent to say the least. Although I am still saddened about certain things I am unable to get done. No fireworks because of stupid laws due to insurances companies and it being too hot to where it is fairly dangerous (I had some saved over from two years ago, bah!), unable to visit some family I had hoped to see, and unable to get some writing done.

I seem a bit unfocused to the point only programming is something I can do. Oh well, at least I made progress at my site. Updated to 1.1 and got rid of the testing status quo.

I am hoping to get some videos out too for my loyal 200+ subscribers. They deserve a special video. <3
And perhaps get some writing done. I'll be happy then.

well, I'm a children's librarian during summers, and that's always fun.
moving into an apartment on the 16th, so I might go on a sizable hacking hiatus.

and I'm loving the progress on our SMK hack. Googie, i've always seen you as a legend and it's cool that I get to see you in action on this board!

Steam Summer Sales have recently made me pretty busy. Hooray for stockpiling video games! Anyone else buy anything during it yet?

Pretty much working, logging as many hours as possible to stockpile as much cash as I can for my first year at University (third year of college; transferred in) and around that I've been hanging out with friends and still practicing calisthenics-based strength training in my few free moments.

Thanks, I really appreciate that! Aside from facebook, twitter & other places I visit this board is like my home on the net.
