Anyone ever mess with the game Robocode?

Taken from the wiki:

Robocode is a programming game. It can be used to teach or learn programming in Java or .NET. It can serve as a platform for exploring AI and machine learning techniques. Or it can be a competitive, addictive hobby that eats up all your time and CPU cycles.

Its pretty easy to get into if you have any experience with programming. You could also use it to ease into Java if you wanted. It can become quite addictive making your own little army of AI Robots.

This page can help you get started.

We used this at one point in a java class I took in high school.
It was pretty nifty, but all I never did anything exceptional with it.
