Most people I know say that's failtastic. They say there have been very few actual good olympic games released in the past, and I'm inclined to agree with them... But... eh. It's up to you if you like it. I think I'll pass. Not much of a fan of those types of games... Now if Sonic showed up in Super Smash Bros. Not sure what to think of this game, but it definitely gives a much greater chance of Sega characters showing up in the next Smash Bros game.
The whole idea is kinda flawed. Seeing that Sonic was made originally to be faster than Mario to compete in the market. |

I'll be the first to admit that the vast majority of Olympic video games have sucked royal balls, but they've always been serious, true-to-life type of stuff. The majority of serious, true-to-life type of sports games suck, in my opinion.
This should be more along the lines of the other Mario sports games, which have not sucked. In fact, they've made me appreciate sports that I would have otherwise had no interest in (like tennis). |

I would buy it because of it's quirkiness.

Posted by JDavis Yeah, the only one who noticed this in this thread so far ... I'm looking at this as like a Mario Party remix of sorts. The Mario sports games rarely suck, so I'm sure this could be good. Yeah, I'm in the continueing struggle to see Sonic appear in Brawl, but seeing this, I think it just doubled the chances that it could really happen now. |

Posted by Ailure I look at it in exactly the opposite light. People have been clamoring for a Sonic-Mario crossover for years since Sega got out of the hardware business. This is the first game to actually do so. Nintendo is not going to ruin this game by making an infinitely better game that has both of them in it. Logic dictates that people will just buy and play SSBB to have a game with both Sonic and Mario in it than that one. I don't really care. I have no plan to buy the game in the first place (not a fan of that type of game). I'm just trying to be realistic about it, since everybody seems to come to the same conclusion (that this means Sonic will definitely appear in SSBB). I just don't get it... like Sonic is so much more physically fit than Mario. Sonic runs, Mario eats pizza. I guess Mario would crush him in the power lifting competition though. But I'm totally giving the Gold to Knuckles in the sport of Boxing. Yoshi and Luigi might take ball room dancing... |

Actually metal gear solid did get remaked as metal gear solid : twin snakes on gamecube. But yes except for that he has only been on nes and gbc. |

I think we can all agree that Mario would totally stomp Sonic at the shot put.
Well, it has potential to be not terrible, at least. Everyone needs to keep in mind how variable Sonic's speed is depending on what game he's in; just look at Sonic R, where he was not only not much faster than anyone else, he was also not that much faster than Amy's perfectly normal (if gravity-defying) car. I don't need to mention the fact that he got semi-routinely outrun by Eggman in the genesis games. |
