I didn't download or play 4.0 yet, because I thought 3.2 was the final version, and I got too far into it to just start all over again in 4.0. I will eventually download 4.0, but I found this minor overworld error in 3.2. Can someone confirm if this still exists in 4.0?
I came across this today when I was playing in the Dark World. You can jump off the ledge there, but the screen below it has a staircase. Very minor overworld error, but I wanted to point it out anyway. For all I know infidelity already fixed this in 4.0. ____________________ My YouTube Channel |

I have to check this to be sure, but almost 100% sure it was never changed.
Also, I've had the same thing happen in the Light World, too. ____________________ Krakenskin Leather Works, my Etsy store. LordVanya, my art page. FundamentalEssence, my game development page. |

Infidelity, I just wanted to post here to personally thank you for all your countless efforts, long hours and vast creativity placed into this game modification. As someone who likewise has a passion for creating gaming content of a variety of sorts I know it can sometimes be a thankless endeavor. I just finished v4.0 and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Your efforts and those of your team will be admired and enjoyed for years to come. Congratulations on a fantastic release, truly a gift to those who have a passion and love for the classic NES genres of games!

Infidelity, and to all parties who might read this and benefit from it;
I am a vintage NES & SNES games fan; When the N64 came out I sensed a loss of the magic of the pure fun that video games were supposed to be - forget 3D, forget a more virtual experience - As I see it video games are escapism like a 'sword & sorcery' novel... I am a self professed jack of all trades, but I know my own limits ~ maybe it's partially because for me, figuring it out takes away from some of that magic... In years bygone when emulators first started coming out I jumped on board, but playing an NES game on anything other than an actual NES just doesn't feel right. I created an account here to speak up for the people like me who love this trend of homebrew games, but probably won't play any of them if they can't play on an actual cartridge, on the actual system. I hope to play this, and some other games on my systems - but I don't care about the hoopla surrounding the likes of that over the top Flashback release of TLOL. (Although I totally missed the boat, I thought that the Timewalk offerings were cool because they replicated actually buying a game from years bygone.) I read the off tangent stuff against these games being created into cartridges; But as I've understood it, since these aren't actually being created for retail production - none of you should fear 'the man' coming down on you; if anything a company like Flashback might be the only ones actually opening themselves to copyright infringement because they are selling unofficial/copyrighted games... But it seems to me even if a company like Flashback is making a couple bucks it sure can't be too much ~ look at how expensive the 'donor' cartridges for TLOL are currently going for; With a donor cartridge trending at roughly $70, and the expense of all the other stuff, I'd wager the margins are low enough, that you would have to be a fan to do it. I appreciate that so many of you work together to make a game like this happen, but I would hope that some of you would reconsider taking the stance of going out of your way to do homebrew games that specifically cannot be put on a cartridge. |

Soundjunky, no offense but I think it would be more appropriate to start a new thread on the topic of "repros". This thread has been dirtied up enough. A lot of the drama seen should have been handled through PM. This topic should have remained about the game and it's development not derailing into what people are doing with this and various other roms outside of development. There are strong opinions on both sides of the "repro" debate, I too wouldn't mind an open honest debate on the topic but it should take place in a thread designated for that purpose. |

infidelity hasn't posted here in almost 2 months and from what I can see development on this game is complete. Like every good thing that has a beginning there also must be an end. I'm closing this thread to avoid unnecessary posts. If infidelity asks me to open this for a new build, I will. --ShaneM ____________________ At the end, when the day is over, the only one left to face is yourself. I've just remade my cart of LoL
Here's a vid: https://youtu.be/o1Dx1Rg9MsM One note, just as infidelity wrote in the other thread, you need to delete your saved games, otherwise the game will crash upon loading. |

Thanks Stufid!
Idk if I'll ever do another Megaman project, back in 2010 I lost pretty much everything in regards to it, then I had a small hint of excitement with Evolution & Melee, but they all fizzled. When I've seen the projects of "Forever" "Odyssey" "-infinity" I've felt I can't top any of those. Those 3 to me are the pinnacle of Megaman romhacking. However with all of that said, what I was doing was trying to tell a story back in 2005 with Ultra in regards to X. I may not have the skills of the authors of the 3 previously mentioned hacks, but there parts of me that want to go back and finish my story, but there is just no time in my life like I used to have before. I don't like disappointing anyone, and am truely happy that there were so many that cared about Ultra 2, but alot of personal stuff popped up then and even now. I even tried divulging into snes, to think of an idea for Ultra 2, but again it's all about time, and I just don't have it anymore. I would love to this full time, making games, but it doesn't pay the bills unfortunately. |

Very cool.
You are my idol of romhacking. You're very cool in my eyes and I wish you finish megaman hack ( melee and evolution) like Stufid said. |

More real hardware tests anyone?
2/3 people have issues with freezing when selecting 2nd and 3rd save slot. |

The sram chip on the MMC5 board, must be 32kb in size.
If the sram chip on the MMC5 board is not 32kb, then the game will crash. Not every mmc5 board has a 32kb sram chip. That's why there are sporadic results with the cartridges. I don't know anything about them, I don't have the materials or the know how to perform the tests myself. But that's why the game either crashes, or just reuses file 1 over the other 2. My game swaps out $6000-$7FFF of the nes sram, when you cycle through the files on the registration screen. |

I've searched every board I can find and haven't found the answer. Maybe I'm just dumb.
But how do you get the Master Sword? I've beaten 1-6 and gotten every possible item and 12 heart containers, but it still won't let me take it. Nobody else seems to have any trouble grabbing it. Tried to skip straight to the tempered sword, that didn't work either. Though I don't know what the requirements are for that. I used a rom with the correct CRC32 as specified on the romhacking.net page. I've tried it under FCEUX and BizHawk with the same results. |
