I guess most of you know what Famitracker is. It's a wonderful little program for composing music for the little 8-bit Nintendo contraption. It also has support for most of the external soundchips that the American and European NES couldn't utilize because the pins on these catridges that the games sent extra audio through to the 2a03 were removed (for some reason).
I'm fairly new to the whole thing (I started using it in August) and right now I'm working on a project to rewrite the soundtrack of Mega Man 3 for Konami's VRC6 chip (Adds 2 square waves with 7 pulse-widths [Internal NES squares only have 3] and a sawtooth wave). Here's the Youtube playlist for them, hopefully they won't make your ears bleed! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8619578BCBEDDF6A |
