It's been a while. Not that I believe even half of you remember who I am, but I used to regular here before the split, and as seen by my post count, slightly after. Others might know me from my critically ignored hack known as Ice Metal.

And in case you have not seen it on my newly ported layout, I have been turned into quite a huge my little pony fan over recent times, but I'll assume that should come as no surprise to this community as you all have most likely heard all about it by this point.

So why am I here? Well apparently KP wants to breath some more life into this place. I replied saying that I did not like the overall mood of this place, but since he said it had changed over recent time; so I decided to give it a try at least. I'll stick around for as long as I think it's worthwhile to stick around.

The poll is merely for fun, but hey, I guess it does not hurt asking what you people think this place could be with more activity.

I appreciate that you've done that, and I appreciate that you already attempt to weed out the undesirables. But, unless it's a no-brainer, I'd say don't worry about refraining from linking people, that's what the board2 staff is for.

new board banner
A new banner once in awhile is always a nice change of pace. It's hard to do something that isn't too gimmicky and undermines the credibility of the board though.

May I suggest a system similar to OCRemix's topbar? Say for instance if there were 6 different banners each of the same size and roughly the same style each featuring elements from a different game that the ROM Hacking community was built on here, that cycle through randomly. It could provide a nice fresh change of pace.

Well, great minds think alike. I would personally love to see a Googietoons theme on the board. Assuming your ability to draw landscape-esque backgrounds is on par with your ability to draw characters, I bet you could make a kickass theme.

That inspires me to put the image in my signature for sites. I think the immature people will pass over this site due to the community not fitting their needs.

i would like to see the board return to its former quality, but most of the good members are long gone. the board needs to be completely reborn into something different that actively draws a deeper community.

doesn't help how hostile a lot of the regular and accepted posters are to newbies.

Constructive criticism like this doesn't go ignored. Just know that we aren't just sitting idly by not doing anything about it.
