Here, I was hoping that we didn't need friend codes for every game like on the DS because the Wii already has its own code.

Sigh.

Regardless if this is fake or real, it's still a giant steaming pile of bullshit.

They should've taken a hint from XB Live. Just require a goddamn parent's credit card and actually put some effort on the parents, and allow people to have unique Wii names instead of HEYGUYS I'M 39851822518

Sigh.

It doesn't bother me as long as it works. What is the big deal ¬_¬

It prohibits one thing I liked about XBL: Namely, being able to tell which game your friends re playing so you can join them.

Of course, without voice chat and other XBL features, it' skind of dumb.

dur dur dur, dur dur dur dur dur. dur dur dur? dur dur dur dur...
dur, dur dur dur!
dur dur dur dur, dur.

Enough said. It's just not needed, as you figured out. All of those are nice, but you can't have everything.

It's one of those things yu get too used too and really can't stand playing without. See also you and I in Kirby Super Star.

It's also nearly required for a multiplayer team game (see Halo 2); that wayy ou can easily communicate with your teammates. :/

Sure, you can play it without it, but it's much, much less fun.

Remeber. Nintendo can't use everything XBL has or else it would be PLAGARISM. >:

I don't play games online anyway, but I don't like the fact that they're doing Wii friend codes the same way they're doing DS friend codes :/

Yeah, everyone knows that Microsoft never plagiarize.

Meh, we just fix friend codes chains on forums or something. Heh.

Is anyone surprised?

It might be OK if they could tie it to the Mii's somehow... you know, if one of your friends has two friend codes registered for two games, you could see if they were playing at that moment.

Crappy system that shouldn't be needed, but if that's what they're going to do then they can at least IMPROVE on it. (Or have really tiny friend codes... not 12-digits.)

Well, you got me there. It sucks playing KSS without Skype...

Whatever...Wasn't there some Wii mic Nintendo was chatting about awhile back?

Wow, how incredibly dumb.

Xbox Live example: My ID is the same as my username.

Wii example: My numbers are 4865874358 for the Wii itself and 9689437843 for Mario Kart and 7465874365743 for Pokemon and 7864745745 for Star Fox and hey there's enough numbers here to fill a floppy disk.

Seriously, Xbox Live is fucking awesome. No, scratch that, Xbox 360 in general is fucking awesome, but I'll focus on Live here. Voice chat, text messaging, buddy lists with in-game notification when they sign on, you can see what everyone's doing (it will actually say the game's name or "Watching a movie" or whatever). With Nintendo it's like "ooh, they have the Internet on computers now!" like WTF.
