About 305 (Final Castle Create Loop) and 306 (Final Castle Wrong Path)...

305
- 00 00 0I 00 00 00

306
- 00 00 HI 00 00 00

Set H to the height you want. This is for 306.
Set I to the ID you want. 305 and 306 must share the same ID.

There are other used values on 305, but I didn't bother looking for them.

Perhaps you could provide some context to your post...? While maybe someone who has been hacking NSMB since it came out could figure out what you mean, most everyone else probably can't...

What i mean is I means the ID of 305 and 306 and H is for 306, and it is the number of blocks which are the wrong path. I tested it. I'll look for other values on other sprites. And the unknown value for Paratroopa makes it wait a little bit and it flies farther.

We don't do NSMB hacking here... We don't know the values for much of the data.

I'm not sure if anyone here can help you.

Well there wasn't an NSMB hacking area on this forum, and I'm not able to go to jul.rustedlogic.net, so I had to post it here. At least you learned something...

Well, if Jul won't let you get help, I can relay you to another site headed by one of the coders for the NSMB editor.

Clickie

I hope they can help you.

24/25: (Right/Left Facing Piranha Plants): 00 00 01 00 00 00 = Will let is spit fire. However, the editor 5.2 says it has no sprite data, so you will have to use another sprite and change it to 24/25.

111: Spinning Log: 00 00 01 00 00 00 = Looks ugly and glitchy. Do not use.

156: Unused (Makes a giant block made of many bricks, it will deflate when you land on it. use 00 00 00 00 00 10 to make it deflate and inflate instantly.

I'll try to find more values.

@Trelior: actually, he's not asking for help, he's sharing his findings. Granted, his messages are quite obscure.

It seemed like he was asking about it, since there was no context to anything he was saying.

How is anyone supposed to know what to do with any of the numbers you're giving us? There is literally no context for anything you've said. Where is any of this in the ROM? What are people supposed to edit? etc etc

H means height. It's how tall the wrong path is. I means ID. You connect the ID with the wrong path object with the Create Loop object or they won't work. And I found this out with the NSMB editor.

The point stands that this board doesn't deal in NSMB hacking, so none of us (aside from the ones involved on the boards that do) have any idea what you're talking about.

A general rule of thumb you should follow: if people have no idea what you're talking about, you're in the wrong place.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, please understand.

Closing this.
