Enter Retr0Bright

While browsing the internet, I came across an article about this.
Though I've only had minor issues in the past with plastic browning over time, I figured this could prove useful to some of the other members here. Apparently SNESes are notorious for turning yellow-brown over time.

Anyway, the scientific reason is apparently because ABS plastics, (the sort used in the SNES and other mass-produced electronics) are combustible in their untreated forms.
To combat this, manufactures add bromine to reduce or negate the effect. After long-term exposure to UV radiation in the form of light, the bonds are broken and the bromine is free to oxidize. That's my understanding of things at least.

The above is an example of the Retr0Bright recipe, which is fortunately given for free on the linked wiki.

This is useful seeing how I have a few old electronics affected by yellowning, particular the old SNES of mine. Although I suspect there is some electrical/wiring error too (a sound channel is missing).
