So yeah, today I was playing Minecraft. I went on this server I'd only been on a few times before. It just so happened in a few hours there would be a cool zombie event. to join you need to clear your inventory and at 6:00 PM EST a portal opened near spawn to the map. There were multiple teams. Mine had about four of us. My team and I had about two days before these powerful enhanced zombies attacked. We still had other mobs on during this 'grace period' though. I got separated when I built a small base on water because my team built a base elsewhere. I nearly died by creepers on my way to the base my teammates built. So we got our base set up, supplies, everything we needed. I went back outside and got a shitload of wood. So I'm safe in my base during a storm about one minute before the event actually started. I GET STRUCK BY FUCKING LIGHTNING WHEN INDOORS! I think "okay, I can just return via the portal HERPA DERP", but NO NO NO! No reentry according to the portal. I tried entering about one hundred times each time my chat got a message saying you can only enter once. Ragequit for like two hours, tried to connect to a Gmod server for those two hours crashing each time, then came back. I decided to check out this town so I packed the few belongings I had and set out. When I'm getting closer maybe 200 away (according to my F3 coordinates) I JUST SO HAPPEN TO DIE! I really had bad luck today.

hearing "Bad luck in a video game" can only remind me of Mega Man. Seems that game is destined to drop 1-ups over pits or spikes. |

Well it seems like my bad luck changed. We did the same event on a floating island map. I was on the same team with few different people. A team member won last time. We start building a base in an island, careful not to fall in the void. Announcements warned to head to the map's edge for safety. I suggested listening, but my teammates disagreed. After awhile, we were targets. Eventually all my team died except me and another teammate. We set out to the edge of the map. After a long walk, we made it. At the edge, the map became normal with no floating islands. Few of us were left and it grew more intense. We kept moving on and eventually made a small cave base. My teammate needed to reconnect to stop lag. When he was reconnecting admins attacking our base with hordes of monsters. When he rejoined, he died. I kept digging tunnels then covering my tunnels with cobblestone before continuing. There were only about three people left, counting me. I kept doing this strategy for a long time. Near the end when it was only two of us left, I was running out of pickaxes. I feared death. Suddenly, the other man died when all hope seemed lost. Soon after I died. I was the new champion. My name is now next to where the portal stood. Now I still have to hold my title for next time, but I finally got some good luck. ____________________ -Ninjablooper |
