Pastor Camping will never know when Jesus is coming. Never. Making calculations based on time won't tell you the time of His coming, because no man will ever know an exact date of the rapture. Ever. The angels in heaven don't even know; even Jesus himself doesn't know the time of his coming! Only God knows. Matthew 24:36 states this, and the rest of this chapter gives you more information on this particular subject. However, it informs you of the signs that will take place.
That pastor is simply proving to be a false prophet, and he's plainly interested in money. Micah 3:11 warns us of these false prophets and their motivation to do so; so does Jeremiah 6:13-15, Deuteronomy 18:20-22, Isaiah 30:9-14, and many other references. The pastor is going against what Jesus said. This makes us wonder if the pastor is a true believer in anything that Jesus said. The bible is one big book of contradictions most notably the trinity doctrine.
In case anyone does not know what the trinity doctrine is: It is the belief that defines that god is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit which are three divine people and/or things that are distinctly coexisting in unity as co-equal, co-eternal, and con substantial or of one being. However if read more in depth especially in the Old and even in parts New Testaments you will uncover that this could never happen because it teaches that there is only one God and that messiah who is now known today as Jesus would be the Son of God and even in the bible Jesus says God is more powerful than him.
