I burned my hand. It all started three nights ago. I moved my hand the wrong way and hit a light hanging from the ceiling. Even though I pulled my hand away in time, I still got burnt. Luckily I ran my hand under cold water and put an ice pack on it for about 15 minutes. All night I was trying to read and not focus on the stinging feeling in my hand. The next day I had a massive blister on the back of my left hand. I went the whole day without accidentally popping it. Then last class of the day, I put my hand in my pocket, accidentally pulled it up too recklessly and it scraped the side on my pocket. I went to get a tissue, but there were none. I went to the bathroom for paper towel. The machine was broken. I settled on using toilet paper which looked odd to walk with hall with for a minute on my hand. Then after I got most the moisture off I threw it out. Now, a day after that I just have a weird injury there. Luckily it isn't worse, but it is a bit annoying. So, how was your week?

Most of us don't walk around with our hands in the air...? How did you manage that?

NEVER USE ICE ON A BURN. No matter how much it makes it feel good because it actually destroys the the healing tissue (skin and muscle) and then it can take 3 to 4 times as long to heal with the severe possibility of scaring because of the cold.

Ugh blisters are the worst. While usually advised against, I just drain them and replace them with a bandage if the blister is at risk of suddenly breaking on it's own.
Anyway, the skin is probably gonna feel a bit like a callous for a bit, but I wouldn't worry about it too much unless it starts changing color on ya or somethin.

The light is about eye level to me over the table. I was moving my hand back to scratch my head.

Ouch . I've never had a burn quite as bad of a condition as that one. I believe the most I've ever encountered was a minor burn from holding a match upside down as it was lit The flame traveled up the matchstick and burnt the tip of my finger.

PYRATROOPER: I'll keep that in mind if it ever happens to me. First thing I'd think of doing usually is to put ice on my burn.

About how my week has been... busy. That's the only way to describe it.
